You finally had to go and do it! You did the one plane that I have had a love for since watching a John Wayne movie of the Flying Tigers as a young kid with my father. No other plane touches my my heart more than the P-40. The second in my heart is the Spitfire.

This past weekend, I took my 7 year old son to the local field to see planes for the first time. We're in a season of life to get into the hobby together, after some difficult times. I've wanted a P-40 for decades, and this video helped me decide which one to get. We will both be learning together on a 3-ch Champ I picked up at a great price. Thank you for the channel. Also, I love the chalk board message on the electronics counter. God bless, y'all.

That sunset flight reminded me of a fighter returning to base after a mission. The way Megan can follow a plane that you are flying erratically makes me think she would have been an ACE anti-aircraft gunner. A three hour video and not a Dynam? Haha.

Another great video. Especially appreciative of the radio setup. I left a couple Instagram messages regarding your experience or lack thereof of the AR630. After watching this review I think I will go with the AR 631 reviewed in this video. I have four warbirds that I need to convert as you said from an antiquated (no AS3X or Safe) systems. I also have to finish a 20 year old Japanese Zero model. I also own 2 gas models that are old Futaba channel 52s. It was kind of funny for that old system. I will need seven receivers, and at least one ESC. I'll be sure to get the stuff through your links. Thanks again for the great information as I have been out of the hobby for 15 years due to spinal injury.

I found that with the June nite on grass, if you take off in safe mode, there is less nose-over. I think that is because oddly, in safe mode, there is more elevator travel. Or you can add more servo travel in the servo settings I suppose. Back the batteries up a tad too. About 1/2" back from the leading edge of the tray. Don't worry, it won't be tail heavy.

I do, and it is some of the most rewarding moments in this journey, but it is also the hardest part of this journey too, since my time is being split in so many directions. I DO care and Megan DOES care (And we know you get it), but there will come a time that we physically can-not do it 100% any more. When that time comes, we know that some will be hurt, but our hope is that we will have a special way to keep our most loyal supporters first and foremost. Here I am, at 12:59AM on July 4th, making comments while my family is eating dinner....seriously - that's HOW crazy this thing has become. Most people don't believe me, but the REAL sacrifice, is from my family. I LOVE THIS STUFF, and my boys kinda think it pretty cool too, and Megan is super supportive, but to a limit. We're getting dangerously close to implosion, so I'm working hard to try to garner enough support to open the chute on what we have... This is harder than it looks. It's more time consuming that it looks, and it's a lot more stressful than it looks. You guys see all the "HIGHS" but none of the "LOWS"... that's not to say that there's not some great value coming to us (Finally) ...opportunities, some money (not enough just quite yet), stuff (of course...that's a BIT of a double edged sward), and relationships.... but at the end of the day, we're trying HARD to work out how to make this our REALITY. Glad you're here with us Mike. We are REALLY here for you guys ;)

This plane is probably a touch less than the P-51 1.5m, or a touch more than the P-51 1.2m (June Nite)... ...BUT with practically all warbirds, P-factor is an issue that has to be dealt with. It tracks well in grass, but on pavement, she's a bit "hoppy"

I need a plane I can fly back there first. I want an ultralight and would eventually like a small hangar back there. We did 6" Thick + Rebar at 18" on Center + Fiberglass Reinforcement up front so I could drive my large truck (so far about 41,000 lbs and short...but might be larger in the future), so making a couple hundred feet long strip would be significantly cheaper if I could pour it thinner.

No, this plane didn't have the Reflex, since it was an earlier version. The new ones DO come with Reflex, and I'm aware of the Reflex, and it is good. AR620 would be fine, but if you want FULL control, you might want to think about the additional channels and telemetry with the AR8220T...but yeah, with HH would give us a 7 channel for these beauties. AR620 bit.ly/2QUlyCd - okay AR6610T bit.ly/33SYkA0 - adds telemetry AR8220T bit.ly/3rjerTs - adds the necessary channel to turn on/off Auto-Leveling and Stabilization (in no particular order) 1) Throttle 2) Rudder 3) Ailerons 4) Elevator 5) Gear 6) Flaps 7) Stabilizer Mode (See, you don't have enough if you want it to turn on and off - bummer, right!?!?) 8) Bomb Drop? LOL

Hi Brian, my p40 should be ariving today, i found a 4s 5000mah 75c batt. Online Im wondering if that batt would fit. Still 4s and hear that people are fitting 5s batts in it . Think it will work?

I suspect you will be fine. I flew mine on 5000mAh 4S 30C pack.

I show what I did in the RADIO SETUP part...but I can't remember all these setups. You can find the RADIO SETUP toward the end of the video.

Hey Brian, how do you think this bird stacks up against the recent Eflite 1.2s, plus the 1.5m warbirds you’ve reviewed ? Cheers bro !

I have an idea 💡. You need a portable runway back their like the Air Force back In WW2. That you can assemble and disassembled when you go to harvest you can remove it Until you build the runway 😀. You have kids. Put them to work. Lol 😃

I like the idea. I was thinking of a geotextile runway, but that crap aint cheap!!! I then was thinking about a TARP runway, but then it'll kill the grass ;( I might just need to pick a spot and start flattening it with a roller (I need one still)

Good question. I think if they were the same price, the FW would be the FOR SURE 100% go to...BUT they're quite a bit different...so you HAVE to take that into consideration. Fw190 bit.ly/2NswTZ2 VS P-40B bit.ly/3zbmNyE + AR631 bit.ly/3pYNC3c
