Thanks B. MAS prop was 14x9x3. I'm back on the stock prop now. Watch the FW 190 vid that motor is a 580 kv and it rocks on the same batteries. I may get a diff motor for f6f. She's draggy.

I did not change the tail retract. I did however need to adjust the travel adjustment. I am using the sequencer.

It's actually a bit of a pain. You have to space out the mas prop because it has no hex. I used a nut and a brass ring to space mine out. I've been flying stock props since i fixed the retracts.

Wish I was in this hobby back then, but I still wouldn't be a Pilot Ryan or Pilot Robert. Nice impromptu meet and fly today with at least half dozen quad and fixed wing pilots today. Great to be in the hobby. BTW, I highly recommend the Zohd Orbit for a delta wing. Toss and Boss Oh Yeah!

Nice! That prop looks like it has some BITE! Looks like it's going faster than the stock. Those are some chunky retracts, too- did the other ones fold up from grass landings?

Were you not able to remount the gear covers? I wonder if the new F4U FMS retracts would be a good fit for the F6F? Any thoughts?

I'm using a 4400 4 cell, Mike uses 3300's. I'll say the 4400 is kind of heavy but I can fly her for 10 minutes. I set the timer for 6 minutes, fly the paint off it, then once the timer goes off I shoot landings for another 4-5 minutes.

How did you secure the MAS prop on the motor? does the MAS prop have a hex divet?

Yes the stock retracts gave up. One hard landing and the trunions were sheared. I adjusted the spindle over and over to no avail. Too nice of a plane not to be flying it. You ought to see Mike's Hellcat he dropped in the 4250 600kv motor and it's fast.

At the tender age of 40something, I have a whole bunch of these on my wall. I fly the heck out of them every calm weather chance I get. Never have I been sucked into a hobby this much. I'm constantly 'flying' in my head when I see a wide open field or I scout for wide open areas on my way home from work. I then realize I haven't played with 'toys' since Iwas 11 years old. Now I know all the manuals say 'THIS IS NOT A TOY' but can someone give me a little more justification than that so I feel better about sneaking out of the house with an small EDF jet in my hand and telling the wife that I'm just going out to pick up a dozen eggs? Sometimes I feel so silly. People are out edging their lawns and working on their shed while I throw a foamy little airplane in the backseat. What the heck man..

Thanks man. sometimes I feel like it's getting out of control.. because there is so much to learn and it's challenging but I don't want to wake up one day and realize my house is going into foreclosure because I was too busy flyin.. :)
