Dynam F6F Hellcat Unbox and Build Review

Ғылым және технология

Unbox and build review of the Dynam F6F Hellcat. This is a big airplane even compared to the Corsair. Keep an eye out for a ParkFly video in the next couple of days.

Great video! I was just looking at this plane at Motion RC. Probably will be my next plane purchase. Also just subbed your channel. I'm getting in to FPV and it looks like you have a lot of great info. Looking forward to the Hellcat flight review.

+Prowler901 Thanks and welcome to my channel. I've been getting my Dynam birds at generalhobby but you can't beat MRC's after sale support. I try to mix up the content to appeal to a broad range of hobbyists but the real truth is I'm just an RC junkie. :)

I *LOVE* this plane! She's my "pickup truck" of fighters and, unlike my Corsair, I fly her "like I stole her", pushing my piloting skills to the edge. "BOX STOCK" she's the easiest of all my fighters to fly and land. After totally destroying the first THREE airframes I built the fourth with "Killer Planes" style CF rod reinforcing throughout. The result is a heavier, stiffer airframe that, coupled with the 650kv motor and RCLander retracts, flies and lands better than the OEM and LAUGHS at 50mph cartwheels down the runway! :D

I'm looking forward to flying it. Ran out of RXs in the old spares box though, so waiting on Aloft. I was really surprised how big the plane is compared to the Corsair.

I went out last weekend to get new FPV footage but the planes and camera equipment didn't cooperate. We're also in a record setting heat wave with temps around 90° by 6am. So it's challenging at the moment. Don't worry though, I'll get the MT and MTD in the air as soon as I get the camera thing worked out with Runcam.

Agree with your Foam-Tac comment. I was a big Welders fan, until I got some Foam-Tac. I still like the Welders, but as you say, Foam-Tac is my go to glue.

Foam-Tac is definitely good stuff. Super strong bond to EPO.

Nice video, what your opinion on the structural design of the wing inserts? Should I put in a rod to strengthen the wing at the fuselage?

When building a Dynam Plane i always take the parts down to my local craft store and buy the cheap water based touch up paints to match the color im working with and they usually have something very close in color..99 cents a bottle and at Wal-Mart your taking like 59 cents a bottle..

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you're a novice, this might not be the best plane choice for you.

What glue would you recommend to put together epo foam warbirds? Instead of the hellcat I got the bf109

Contact cement is good for EPO. I also use hot glue if I can get away with it.

I was looking to buy this plane, would it be possible to add the quanum rtr bomb drop system to this?

Probably. The Corsair in this video doesn't look bigger than the Hellcat, and it looks to fit on that plane just fine: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hotnzpOclpjPo9o.html

I bought a used f4f one time and it was THE most stable airframe i ever flew, out of p51 corsair spit and fw 190 Im wondering if you agree with the f6f, as im just getting back into rc planes and i dont want to wreck my plane straight out of the gate lol

The Hellcat is good, but I think the easiest to fly are the P-47 Thunderbolt and the FW190. Here are my affiliate links for those two if you want to check them out: www.bitgohobby.com/Dynam-P47-D-Thunderbolt-1220mm-PNP?affid=8 www.bitgohobby.com/Dynam-Focke-Wulf-FW-190-PNP?affid=8

If you built this model from a balsa kit your model would have a few flaws in covering and detailing that only you would care about and the total cost of your built up model would be considerably more than the Dynam and might not fly as well. I would recommend Dynam foamies to people who have some past experience assembling ARF's while correcting minor fitment and paint and electro-mechanical parts problems including retracts and speed controls.

+gary gullikson I think those are all the reasons foam planes have changed the hobby. Balsa kits are definitely more time and funds consuming. Dynam could go from good to great if they’d make better choices on their hardware. I’m generally very happy with in flight characteristics.

Why do so many people call the hatch a canopy?

  • @RCVideoReviews

    @RCVideoReviews

    5 жыл бұрын

The canopy on a real plane is the glass covering the pilot's head. Planes can have lots of "hatches" but the canopy usually refers to the glass/plexiglass over the pilot.
