This was an A to Z amazing interview. I've worked in multicultural sexual assault, intimate partner abuse, dating abuse systemic change, police/first responder/agencies response, training, systemic change. Drew's story, advice, recommendations are spot on. For allies, please listen. For survivor, get a load of Drew's strength!!! A huge SO to Rob for an incredible interview on hiphop and Drew's career, artistry, and super power; covering Drew's story, accusations, career and personal survival. I shared this with an exec at a major sexual assault advocacy agency because she's a leading woman of color doing major systems change work. Thank you!!!!!!!

Have an email I could reach for advocacy?
I really respect her for coming forward and sharing her story. Part of the solution is for these stories to come out in the first place
This was a great interview! Thank u Rob for doing this
Wow. Thank you. What an incredible and powerful message, So very sorry that this happened to you.
Its so nice to see a guy have sympathy for her!
You were very respectful and genuinely great interviewer, great job and thank you, Drew Is very important as a human, as a woman, as a woman of color and for the culture 🙏🏻💖
I have ZERO respect for The Breakfast Club. We all remember one of their air personalities was accused of gRaping a woman name Jessica Reid. Salute to Drew Dixon for her bravery. Much respect. 💕👑🗣️🌹💎
Kudos for this interview. Genius was the perfect platform because this woman is just that
Russel was served today. Drew will get her day in court. Finally.
Speak your truth. ❤ #BelieveWomen ✊🏿
Oprah tried to get your story out, but ran into a buzz saw. Backlash was fierce.
Brave and talented lady. Shame on Russell Simmons and Lyor Cohen.
Every woman has same story. They cannot all be lying.
I can't find the actual documentary anywhere. Where is it?

Nice👍🏾
Part of the problem is that a lot of this stuff just simply doesn’t even happen around the good guys. So called nerdy goody two shoes like me are usually not even invited to the spaces where a lot of this abuse occurs.

I dated Russell and at no TIME ever did he make me feel like I was in danger or unsafe. He may be ambitious and can carry that over that pursuit of the kitty kats, but he's more like big ole sheepdog who slobbers all over you with his affection and his pursuit. I know she had an encounter, but I didn't think she understood that the experience with her narrative was very different than what was going on in his head. I believe Russell was dismissive in understanding the untold social cues in the room that this young woman did not want to be there. In the end he is in real life a nerd when it comes to being social cues with women, he's learned some things, but ultimately he's always been a little awkward with women, he admires women and anyone who knows him just knows this. He definitely read her wrong. And he is ultimately paying for it as she has as well. It's sad to see as they seem like really good genuine people. He is suffering greatly over this. I hope she can find peace with it. I'm sorry for any woman that goes through this. But I have to say , Russell may be an awkward slobbering fool sometimes, he is full of antics and misreads social cues, which is no excuse but he's not a calculating predator. I know he greatly is remorseful for any woman to have felt afraid to say no. It's just not who he is. The industry was so male-driven and dominated at the time, and she def survived a brutal business her accomplishments despite this are admirable.

20 other women beg to differ and have a vastly different experience from yours. Hmm I'm sure they didn't think of him as a sheepdog but more of a wolf.

Interesting interview , sad she went thru that, think she doesn't want to press charges against Simmons, there is a justice system for these things. It not that bad for African-Americans or brown, there are plenty of victims of color/brown who avail themselves of the justice system.
Well not even close to 1st
