I would need a pair of Depends, a barf bag and a stiff drink to ride on this flight. Yet inside of the storm's eye is incredible beauty that few ever see.

Contrary to that belief they actually get paid quite well. They are Air Force Reserve pilots, which means they are not active duty, but still Air Force officers nonetheless. As a Major or Lieutenant Colonel, you get paid a handsome amount of money with extremely discounted health insurance, housing, etc... I am currently in Air Force ROTC and I plan on being a C-17 pilot for 10 years active duty after completion of college, as well as 5 years of reserve service thereafter. This is what I want to do in the reserves.

What’s cool is I dealt with this storm the issue was Harvey is that it was slow and dropped a lot of rain it was extremely unusual for a hurricane like harvy to just sit there and not die and eventually go into land it was extremely unusual.

Same issue with a lot of storms off late. With global heating, lots of hurricanes/typhoons are slowing down causing more damage.

why not take U2 plane and fly over its and get the data. Hurricane height is about 50,000 and U2 fly over 70,000.
