Flying Fortress Crash Site
The B17 Flying Fortress came down on 16th December 1944. Sadly two of the nine crew died in the accident. A local sheepdog called Sheila was awarded the Dicken Medal for guiding rescuers to the injured airmen.

Thank you, Mark. Yes, bits of the plane sink and reappear over the years. There's a large piece of fuselage completely gone now. Take care. Mick.
