Flying Around The World in a Pilatus PC-12?

Flying around, is a dream a lot of aviators have, but only a few get to achieve it. I have explored the possibilities and realized it is not impossible to take off from Nigeria, head to Dubai UAE; from Dubai to Mumbai, India; from Mumbai to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta, Indonesia; from Jakarta to Darwin, Australia, then to Brisbane; from Brisbane, Pacific Ocean crossing starts to Nouméa, New Caledonia; from Nouméa to Fiji; from Fiji to Pago Pago, American Samoa; from Pago Pago to Hawaii, From Hawaii to Los Angeles, US Pacific Ocean Crossing ends; from Los Angeles to Mexico City, Mexico; from Mexico to San Juan, Puerto Rico; from San Juan to Recife a Brazil; from Recife will be South Atlantic crossing to Monrovia, Liberia; from Monrovia back to Nigeria. This is more of just a rough sketch, there can be adjustments, especially on crossing from Brisbane to Los Angeles, a less courageous I would go through Japan, then into Alaska.

I've logged about 1,100 hours in the NG at this point and I'm waiting for differences training on the NGX, but I will say this, when you were talking about the A/C not being even throughout the cabin, what you failed to mention is that the cockpit is an absolute greenhouse in the summer and there is no way to effectively cool it down up front without freezing the pax in back until you get to the flight levels. Overall, it's the best plane I've ever flown and I've definitely landed it on fields shorter than 2,100ft like you mentioned, you just have to be a bit lighter on fuel. My only other big grips are the pilot seats are very uncomfortable and in order to get the low speed performance, the low wing loading in cruise and stiff spar mean it does not handle turbulence well! Other than that, it's a near perfect aircraft, a real pilot's plane with a good balance of automation and very fun to hand fly.

This was a good, solid and informative video. Some of your early efforts got some pretty heavy criticism, much of it unnecessarily harsh in my opinion but still valid. But you stuck with it and your vids are much improved. It is clear that you love aviation and work hard at learning all you can about it under what I suspect are some real limitations based on your location. Good job, man.

Good video, but you failed to mention that, in fact, Amelia (Rose) Earhart DID fly around the world in a PC-12. The year was 2014, it took her 18 days. I know this because, besides extensive media coverage, the company I worked for at the time was one of her major sponsors for that trip.

Piaggio are awesome planes, I use to service both the Piaggio P180 and PC-12. Where the PC-12 has the Piaggio beat is simplicity. Piaggio's are very complex and can't be serviced just anywhere if there is a problem. The PC-12 would still be the best to fly around the world IMO but that's just me. I know a lot of people that would rather have 2 engines and that's fine. Where the PC-12 makes up for it's single engine is its ability to glide. Best way to mitigate an engine out situation in a PC-12 would be to stay at the highest safe altitude, that thing can glide like 60ish miles if above 25,000 feet.
