I like how they act like the drone flyer is special for flying the drone, when what he did was no different if he had done it at sea level. However, the drone maker should be congratulated for designing a drone that can fly dependably at those high altitudes.

@noops it Ronan Ozturk took out the specs to make it fly higher for National Geographic! Else wise, that would be very illegal at those elevations, altitude! They have a ton of Aerial shots of the whole north face! They are looking for Sandy Irvine! But, Chinese has closed that side of the mountain for past 3 years, and Nat Geo must know something, or found something on those maps! So when the Chinese do open it up for the public to climb, they are coming back, to find what they saw on those shots! If the Chinese hasn't beat them to the punch! 2024 will be the 100 year mark, since George Mallory and Sandy Irvine climbed it in 1924!

Have you noticed that we can see layered rocks at the top of the mountain? These layers are sedimentary rocks, meaning that they were once at the bottom of an ancient sea. That's the power of earth's forces, to lift all that rock this high in the sky, wow!

They went to the summit and on their way back one guy took all of five minutes to leave the route and explore a crack that Tom Hozel thought concealed the body of Irvine. The 500 meters lock is based on where the remote is. It allows for 500 m altitude difference between the drone and the remote. But if the user (and the remote) is at 8000 meters for example, that means that the drone can reach 8500 m altitude at max. The higher the user goes, the higher the drone will too.
