Brilliant video, I have been fly fishing in England for ….. 50 years…… I’m now 69. I haven’t been fly fishing all that while due to personal circumstances. However, this video is brilliant, love it. I will be watching this many times. A master class. Kind regards, as always, Ken. Rutland, England.

Jim, neck hackle is so expensive. What's a less pricey alternative in your opinion?

I wouldn't think they are too big maybe 14 or 16. I live in the North east of the country so I can't say for sure.

(For Tim Brown) I LOVE fishing the Soda Butte! We are going mid July! :) We usually use size 14 flies, but in my experience the trout there are a bit picky. Good Luck!

Siempre sigo tus instrucciones. Saludos de Argentina.

Neck hackle is actualy the cheaper. Saddle hackle are what is expensive. There is really no alternative to hackle. You can buy Indian or Chinese hackle. Try looking for Colins Hackle Farm online. Buy the best you can afford.
