Nice and straight. I think all electronics techs are savvy with hammers!

So nice to see an LM308H again, great precision op-amps from back in the day. Great for strain gauge differential signal amplification and the like. The other can is an SZA263 and is the voltage reference, I guess you can think of it as an LM399 without an internal heater.

I have one also, constantly surprises me how stable it is. There are some great articles out there about how they achieved it.

Please do a calibration vid. Always fun to watch. I have one of these and want to cal it. Also, love to see a vid on actually using a ESI104 to cal a HP3468. That would be fun. ESI104 is way less than $5k

Just a word of caution. On my three unit version, the traces on the PC board seem to lift easily under heat when soldering. Here, in the US, some types of PC board didn't have a very good adhesive under the copper during that time, so use the lowest possible heat, and be quick about it.

aa hahaha... Nice video.. I did look into same unit and it was looking a bit weird why they had to place cables outside..it had no sense to me..lool..now i know why :)

The precision resistors are interesting. Nice clean rebuild. I guess that's not FarmTek. 😂

Random question - Do you prefer the Peak over the DE-5000 or is it just the one you have? I ended up getting rid of the HP 19" LCR meters I had and just going with the DE-5000 but I have a Peak transistor checker and I like the construction and ease of use. Great video as usual.

The peak is better for in circuit testing, also quicker to use, I do use the de5000 or my east tester et4401 if I want to look more closely for things such as dissipation or frequency response.

Oooh - I like a bit of pantomime! Defpom: "These are 3500mAh" Audience (loudly, in unison): "Oh no they're not!" I'm pretty sure that 3500mAh NiMh AA cells only exist in Chinese adverts... Please let us know their actual capacity.

Yeah I really should test them, in this situation it doesn’t matter even if they are only 350mAh
