Flowered Up - Take it - the best version
Музыка
Flowered Up - Take it, as recorded from Snub TV, March 31st 1991. Flowered Up were an English indie pop-alternative dance band, formed in Camden Town, London in 1989, active during the Baggy movement. Their 13-minute single "Weekender" reached the UK top 20. The band split up in 1994 amid drug problems. Following a failed reformation attempt in 2007 and a solo record deal that fell through, frontman Liam Maher died from a heroin overdose in 2009, followed by his brother Joe also of a heroin overdose in 2012.

Amazing work!1, Thanks man!
I agree - the best version. Absolute classic and perfect indie rock song. So sad that so many people don't know this song even exists - it's their loss.
Ranked in the top 10 decent Indie bands & songs you've probably never heard of before...
Happy Mondays
Brilliant 🌻🌼
I saw them at Stoke uni, pa went down and Barry Mooncult kept us entertained with stand up until the pa was fixed, was a great night. Class act

Great band.
One of the best songs ever made. Full stop!
Just realised, after watching this numerous times, it's not a live recording but an edit of a few takes. Great band with some outstanding tracks (take it, phobia, it's on, weekender, etc) - a favourite of mine in the 90s, and still today.

It was recorded using just one camera, the song was performed multiple times, then edited together to make it seem as if there were multiple cameras, it was done for many performances on Snub as the full budget for each episode was just £1500, which even back in 1991 was very tight.
The best band ever
Flowered Up formed at a Happy Mondays gig, I think.

No mate, Flowered Up were given the tag (unfairly) of the Cockney (London) Mondays. In fairness a very similar sound but Flowered Up in their own right, released very good tracks they unfortunately had only one album. However Weekender it's full 13 min or so glory which wasn't on their album in my mind still stands out as a masterpiece not only then but even more now. The Mondays and Flowered Up have/ had similar grooves, later Flowered Up tracks you can find on KZread 'Greedy Soul' and 'Dark Side of the Spoon ' However as per brothers Shaun and Paul from the Mondays, Liam and Joe from Flowered Up had issues of which we all have. Unfortunately Shaun is still the only one with us....

Brilliant
One of the v.v.v. few baggy bands that were worth loving.
*_The singer sounds like he means it, they were pretty good. Not a good end for him or his brother reading your information about them, very sad ..._*

It’s a shame that drugs finished it for a lot of bands around this time. . But some great music came out of it.

Lifted from Joe Strummer's 'Joe's Tune' I ain't got no rhythm draggin me around I'm the white kinda color on the wrong side of town and all the people down in brixton town said hey white boy won't you lend me a pound ain't got no pund no dollor or quid don't pick my own pocket or even if I did I got the same chances any black man do said hey white boy your new job is cool well the black man got the rhythm and thw white man got the law and I know one thing I've been workin for don't care about the country go to rack and ruin whole world will follow they'll be singin this time whole world will follow they'll be singin joe's (my) tune
the singer liam maher was a big influence on liam gallagher imo
This is so messy in so many ways I have decided it must be cool. It's definitely off it's tits whatever it is.
Amazing band, Joe Strummer write the lyrics.
