exactly. there is zero reward for landing fast punches like there is in fight night. i still find a way to utilize it tho because the jab and right hook combo does hella damage in this game uf put together. still trash

Sometimes when you have thrown your combos and want to get out of position. It feels like your feet are pinned on the ground and you can’t do anything but weave to avoid punches.

The key to beating hook spammers is to not get pissed and try brawl with them. Just hang back and let them spam, it’s so easy to counter them and move away quickly. If everyone just rinses and repeats that the spammers will disappear in no time.

Has anyone tried the "defendant" controller configuration preset? For instance if you want to slip punches a lot easier then just flick the left stick without having to click it down. All down to personal preference though and there are one or two minor changes that are easy to get used to. Ali's hooks must be bugged because they are way too powerful and it is typical of a fight game where you are always going to get spammers who will do anything to win.

Why does no one use the hard dodge when you click the analog stick? It opens up HUGE punishes for hook spammers

Just to be clear - Does this game not have 360 degree free head movement like fight night champion? As in where ever you move the joystick your fighter leans? Or is the movement like UFC where you can only flick the stick into a direction. So far in almost every fight I have seen I never see any head movement. And this is a boxing game? The sweet science? This looks like ufc 4 striking but they took away the grappling and kicks.. And all of these " high level " players look like the biggest bums I have ever seen. These dudes really winning with this meta hook spam? Not even setting up a combo with a jab?? HAH! *Knee slap*

The net code in this game is horrible at times. Understand it’s early access but so glad it’s only $29.99. You can tell this Ali player is trash because at one point just just worked his body as he leaned back not never blocking low.

Why does the game have no clinch ?

The latest update made the game shit. I can literally outbox, out counter, out power punch people yet I'm getting rocked from no punches 4 times. Then no punch but hooks do damage

I also had a shifty glitch where round 7 didn't end at the bell and we had to fight for 10 minutes until I made his cut have a red bar and the ref stopped it
