This game has A+ potential. They just have to nail the damage and vulnerability. Slow footwork down a bit. Work on punch tracking etc. it’s not crazy far off from being a fantastic boxing sim.

i agree but the vulnerability might not be fixed how we think it will, i think they are trying to create a new type "vulnerability" system that uses their own current system but i feel like its gonna take a long time before they can actually fix that and make it consistent. I also feel like the biggest part of the game is the technicality so devs want to make sure that people can play super high level so they dont want to make a way for these players to get more randomly knocked out, but what they aren't realizing is that the rest of the gameplay also prevents this sim type play so we are forced to play differently because of the game itself (fast asf footwork, infinite punches, no ko power, honestly shitty scoring too) so i feel like they need to let go of their original game and focus on what the players are asking for because we are the ones that are gonna pay for the game and play. I feel like they might fix everything except for the vulnerability system because i feel like they wont budge and theyre gonna keep trying to push this new type of "realistic damage" system but its not working because they wont let us get a ko as easily as it actually is so you play "sim" the whole game you just to lose when spamming punches couldve at least won u the rounds on the score cards

Like the fact you box in this game the way it’s meant to be played using the right footwork, countering etc. the khan you can see thinks boxing is all one way and consistently being on the offensive. There’s a real craftsmanship behind good boxing it’s a classy sport where it’s great seeing a highly intelligent defensive boxer make the opponent miss. There’s a beauty to seeing a good boxer making an opponent miss and hitting them when the opportunity presents itself.

Just started playing this myself and can say you’re really good at timing your shots, finding your range. It’s truly a boxing simulation and you really have it down. 💪🏾

the domination transition is so smooth first 2 rounds he was on your ass having you on the back foot but after that once you found the rhythm he was on back foot the whole fight

this game got the most fighters uniqueness of any combat sports game

I love this. Even tho it’s slow, the animation and expertise from this guys gameplay is crazy. Wish this game was on console. My only gripe is that the damage does seem downscaled. Wish bruises showed, maybe even some blood.

If only UFC 5 had the unique fighter styles and the footwork this game has….

But in fight night c'mon man you authentic Pacquiao in three different weight classes lightweight and welterweight Duran middleweight roy Jones and light heavyweight Roy Jones that fights just like him Ali and Tyson that fight just like they do. I been debating hitting online now that it has some of the features that were missing due to bugs. Good to see your insight on how you play. There is times i play sim, and other times i just get a lil too carried away. I definitely play at my best when i do a more realistic approach. The problem sometimes is the spam can either run in my favor: or make me fall into their game.

I suggested this on their Discord already, but we really need a lower gear option for the footwork. Real life Canelo takes very small steps forward into range, closing in like a tank, and walking people down. SCI should add a 'tight movement' stance to replicate this. The exact opposite of the 'loose movement' stance they already have. Let us inch our way forward rather than bouncing everywhere.

I hope they add a replacement for the loose movement for some boxers (Rocky Marciano and Joe Fraizer)Called something similar to a Siege ram or man of war that replaces the traditional foot movement of first the front foot and then the back foot to move forward with the opposite first the back foot and then the front foot which increases your forward movement speed and the range and speed of all head movement except backwards, you retain the ability to block and the power lead hook turns into a Gazelle Hook with extra distance and the Power Cross into a stepped overhand that reverses your stance (a shot that Rocky Marciano and Jon Jones Jr. did a lot) that has twice the normal range but leaves you very vulnerable if you miss and at last your missed walking punches recover faster But what you sacrifice for all this is you become more vulnerable (although not as much as the loose movement) your backward head movement has less range and is much slower and your backward foot movement is much slower and Towards the sides you also lose some speed but not as much.

I like the way it look when you cutting the ring off the same way Canelo does irl. It was satisfying to see

I made it to a decently high rank in Fight Night Champion back in the day by actually boxing in a similar manner. It's good to see that despite the spammers, it's possible in this game as well. Hopefully console players can get on this sooner than later

Game is looking better now. They need to fix the spam like you said. It has been addressed somewhat and not as bad now and less cheaters since game not as new. Some things I would like to see for example at the start of the fight the sun in the background is setting, by round 7-8 it should be set and full night time. Little things like that add realism. More bruising and swelling on the fighters as well. After taking a couple hundred shot boxers be swollen and bloody but you don't see that here. The tracking as well needs to go away. Create more vectors for punches to land so there is glancing hits and glancing blocks. Still though for a small basically indid dev team its a decent game.

You just dont feel the knockout power without using certain punches that are high effective and timed combos

You know until now I notice which is the problem is with the game's animations and why they look weird and clumsy compared to the Fight Night saga AND IT'S NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE BAD, ON THE CONTRARY, IT'S POSSIBLY THE GAME WITH THE MOST REALISTIC ANIMATIONS FOR PUNCHING The big problem they have is that punching and possibly almost every action a boxer can do in the game does not have an animation to transition between actions, you can hit the head and then start blocking hits to your body and your arms instead of lowering to your torso, your arms just instantly teleport sticking to your body,this is also why throwing single punches looks so strange because there is no correct transition between the punch and the boxer's idle stance and why fast boxers like Mohamed Ali are considered to have the best animations, because in being so fast it is much more difficult to notice the lack of transitional animation and it is easier for our head to fill the empty spaces just like in games with animated 2D sprites. And all this is also the reason why Fight Night looks better, not because they are really better but because they are more complete and there is a transitional animation between punches,blocking/raising guard, idle animation and head movement

i played this last night and i had about 10 counters 1st round and the guy quit..... i look at the stats and it says i have 0 counters!!! im gonna wait until next update..... the game is still desynced like crazy :(

If anyone sees this who commonly plays the game, I had a red bar at the top, on my screen I was slipping most of my opponents punches and landing a lot of significant strikes, I also rocked my opponent 3x in one round and he still won the round, is it possible that people cheat/ abuse the lag to win somehow?

The motion blur in this game immediately made me feel sick. Reminded me of the first time i played Doom 2016 and i could not figure out why i would feel sick playing that game. Had to google it and a comment said to turn motion blur off. Sure enough that was the problem. 😅 never experienced it before.
