That was great trip of memory lane for me. My family would always stop there on our way to Disney World.I remember the coin drop. It was always crowded, but that was in the late 70's and 80's. I remember the road made this neat thumping rhythm as you drove on it. Thank you!!!

Absolutely for more-or same-amount of driving...It gives local flavor and enhances the experience

The citrus tower is awesome. They recently painted it. its a must visit in Clermont.

I love the view!!! Next time I go to Florda I'm going there

@@ithemeparkOFFICIAL it was great. Very modern retro feeling. It looks clean and fresh. There is a little cafe and you can take food up and hang out. The food and drinks were so good that I can’t wait to go back.

The crane you see is upgrading the cellular antennas on the side of the building. Listen close at 6:12 and you can hear the storm getting really close.

My grandmother and uncle, he pretty much failed to launch for his entire life lived in Groveland. Consequently, I remembering visiting this tourist trap in 1970 when we visited. I don't remember the glass enclosure at the top of the tower back then.

Very cool. Tbird club meeting there in a few weeks and I will be there for that. If you are looking for a small but interesting place, try Tarpon Springs. That's where the sponge divers are and some good greek restaurants.....

Wow thanks for sharing, don't change a thing when making these videos. I remember stopping there as a kids in the 60s. There used to be a sidewalk shaped like the state of Florida in the back with a replica of the Citrus tower in the middle. Also nothing but orange groves in the view. I will be down there in June and will make plans to stop in and visit it again.

Stopped there too as a kid in the 60''s amd remember the map of Florida. It was surrounded by citrus groves/

very cool thing to see! thank you! ive been to florida a ton to go to Disney through the years and never knew this existed! does Orlando/Kissimmee still have the , I think its called mystery mansion? it had a big wizard's head painted on the side of its head? that would be cool to see! I heard the house of xanadu is gone , that was one of those things I thought very cool when I was a kid!

Great video. I visited Citrus Tower in 1976 and 1985.

I lived in a town a town right next to Clermont, I saw it every time we went to a store, or to a restaurant, or to Disney World, but i have never gone in it.

Good video! Would be fresh to see a video like this say once a month on top the theme park videos. Been subscribed since a few thousand, seen you develop a lot. Thanks for staying cool!

The one time I got to go there, the tower part was closed. The place gave me the creeps anyways and now that I've seen this video, and see what I didn't GET to see, I am really spooked!! It looks like you could just open up one of those windows and jump right out! I am also spooked by that coin drop. I don't like this place, it gives me the willies and I don't know why!!! I'll probably have nightmares tonight. And I AM a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami and I'm still living in FL, north central FL now. This building needs a complete overhaul and makeover. It just has that really OLD feel about it, like you stepped back in time, to the 60's! I did get to visit that gift shop, and yep, the same one, didn't buy a thing............ I got the hell OUT of there as fast as I could, and was GLAD the observation deck was closed to the public that day. (Wonder why???)

I got that feeling of doom when I stepped into the gift shop/lobby. Thought I would stop in for a little nostalgia but it was dreadful.

Real nice! I've been by there tons of times. The only time we went in was to the the mechanical three ring circus they had on the ground floor. Is it still there? I appreciate your video!

Thanks Michael! Yeah, I've always wanted to go there. It's still VERY rainy right now. It rains almost every day. I think it will stop or slow down soon. I thought about going to a park originally but decided to do something new. That storm sounded pretty scary from up there.
