I HAVE A QUESTION/COMMENT-I RAN ACROSS A “FINE ART” CHANNEL & THEIR OPINION WAS EVERYTHING WAS CRAP, FROM THE CANVASES, COLOR SHIFT, DRY BRUSHING, ETC BUT THE ONE THING THEY DID WAS PAINT IN BLACK & WHITE THEN GLAZE COLOR OVER IT SO THEIR VALUES WERE CORRECT. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THAT WAY OF PAINTING?

That is an 11th century technique known as grisaille and I think its a great way to do a painting. We do that sometimes here as a first taste if it. I would say my opinion is very positive for it.

Looks like a boat lol
