That motel you showed video of is in Livingston, Texas, not Montgomery County. It's the Lone Star Inn, I was evacuated from it Sunday and yesterday. The second flood of the motel was 10x worse than Sundays flood.

Exactly, there hasn't been any emergency response from them. Everything's only been locals responding. They don't care about anyone here and it shows.

Ima Survivor Sanctuary has evacuated all their animals. But they started 2+ days ago. Thankfully they have a second property & friends to take them. They even evacuated the pigs & the turkey. If it can't float or fly it was taken & they still took any chickens they could. Any family's large cattle was moved to high ground. The remaining photos as Lester left on his land/water Argo vehicle were heart-rending. But they'll be ok. Just posting this in case anyone is interested. They had a big news story after Harvey after finding Patty pig- evacuated, Imagene their namesake- evacuated a tiny goat Meg-deceased before & some others. It would be nice to see them get a follow up interview on how that changed everything so they knew this time to just get the babies out even if it turned into doing it for nothing. Yeah Lester was definitely right to choose to move them. God i wish he hadn't been. But they'll be ok.

The entire world is over populated. Millions if people, millions of homes, so when these storms happen millions even billions will be affected. We build near the oceans, we build in hurricane alley, people keep building in known earthquake hit spots or where major mudslides frequently happen. This is nothing new, simply more humans affected.
