I sang this song at my grandmother's funeral.. I played it for her when my grandfather passed and she loved it.. Now i play it for myself when I miss them because it was our special song.. God bless and take care!

Holy shit. I just found this and holy shit, this is my new favorite version. Flogging Molly will always have a soft spot for me, but damn this is a great version. Would love to see it played live at a pub.

I know you are not using auto tune... I’m envious of your ability to hold your notes while screaming with a damn near flat line curve all while maintaining the same tone. Even when it’s all in your throat, it still sounds full and emotional and damn good. Also, I’m 8 years late to the party.

My Mom died three weeks after I turned 18, 2 weeks after my senior prom, 1 week after I graduated High school, and she was put in the ground one day after the grad ceremony was held. I would watch old movies with her in it and think her voice was the most beautiful sound I ever heard....until I heard you singing. Thank you for giving the world your sound

We should... I want to drop my beliefs... just like I did the liberal ones, it's all just 50/50 everyone hates each other, even the independents that think they're so ahead of the game like we did back then. I want to live in the middle of nowhere and call it my everywhere.... I'm so sick of people, fighting about this that and the other... I just wanna live, and we can't do that in society anymore... May you be half an hour in heaven before the devil knows you're dead

+Markus Wilson I didn't know what Frogging Molly was at a time. Wiki says they are celtic punk. I guess. I can see celtic, but it might as well be celtic rock or celtic punk rock. Bottom line is, don't judge. It was only a question. It really didn't seem this could be originated from a punk song.

I also have listened to the original version. I am a fan of the group. But, the performer of this song should know, I went thru some very hard times in my life in the past two years. From being on the run, a fugitive, and living day to day. I adopted this version as my fight song for getting thru all the freezing nights where I walked thru the pitch black in forests, going over borders, and in the still of the frozen, scared out of my mind, but blasting this KZread cover with my phone, as a going out song. I assume she doesnt read these last posts years on. But this was the reason I fought thru my worst fears. Its a break up song to the woman I lost some time ago. But thank you, more then you will ever know, for this beautiful effort of this song.
