Hi all, FYI that's a 30 degree bevel for the hex cuts.
I love the Grateful sign. I've been practicing gratitude for years and it has really enriched my life. Thanks for another great video.
I really like the look of this! It's not too complicated and adds so much life to that empty space! Love it!
The chicken background sound effects in the voice-over was excellent!

Hyy sir 🙏🤝🤝🇮🇩
That was such a simple but effective little project. It makes it look like a 5 star hotel now.
I love how easy you make it look.
How can anyone give April a thumbs down? She's so cool! I try to not smile at the end, when she waves, can't do it!

They’re just haters 👎 if you don’t like the video don’t watch it . I enjoy what April does she’s a very hard-working woman and I’ve learned a few things watching her videos.

Maybe because all the mounts are visible??? esp. on the flat shelves. Kinda looks like crap :/ I mean good from far, but far from good.
April. Amazingly simple yet so satisfying. Great job. I just built a floating shelf 8 feet long. 10 inches wide. 5 inches high. I built 5 drawers into it. So cool
Good job April, thanks for sharing with us!!👍👍👏🏻👏🏻
Great idea, really like the look of the bathroom.
You’re brilliant! Love your work
Great video! The shelves and area looks fabulous! Great job!
Nice and clean. Enjoyed watching the process!
I learn so much from these videos!! Thank you April!!
Great tip for the glue-up! Awesome project, April!
Great looking addition to your bathroom. Those look really nice as well.
Well done, Thanks for sharing that
😍😍😍 April! Beautiful as always, wonderful addition to your bathroom!
OMG I just made 10 hexagons for my daughter over Christmas break. She redid her bedroom and wanted hex shelves above the bead for plants and decor. Ours are connected together to form a larger design, made of 1 x 4 select pine (from the stock pile) and finished with natural danish oil. She's gonna flip when I show her your video!
Nice build and beautiful space.
Very cool and fun project April! I never liked the empty space either such a great idea thanks ☮️😎❤️
Beautiful design
You have become my favorite wood working youtuber! I just started getting into this hobby and I love watching your videos. I am definitely going to be buying some DIY plans from your website in the near future!
Beautiful ideas
The shelves turned out great April, awesome work! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Love your presentation
Woww !! Muy lindas repisas April !! Saludos desde Buenos Aires!!👍👍
That looks great.
To hang these, I use two finishing nails that I place inside of the top joints of the hex shelf unit. It provides stability as if you put something heavy, like a decorative candle or small plaque, it does not have to be centered on the shelf and the shelf won't tilt on you and possibly cause the things on the hex shelves to fall out and break.
Looks great, look forward to the next video!
Really beautiful work, April! 😃 Nicely done!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Amazing amazing, you inspire me so much! Thank you for the video!
Excelente trabajo !
Very Nice April!
Very nice and simple.
I've been making almost the same thing, except I turned mine into sound dampening panels. I used ratchet straps for the glue up, which I found easier than just tape.
Anyone else shook when April opened up that box FULL of glue
Hey those looked fantastic in your tub area ! Great Job 👍👍
ThAnk you for this! Will be attempting this tomorrow :)
Thank you so much for your videos......I am always learning something new from you....
Looks nice.
April you are so talented i in enjoy watching you're video thank you
Well done
Thanks for sharing!😍
Very nice improvement
Lookin great!
That's pretty awesome (and I just started watching). I was just watching Out of the Woods. I think you would like his sawmill, a lot, and his channel. I highly recommend April's plans. They are very well done.
April: Is this a re-release? It harkens back to your earlier days, making simpler stuff without al the atomic laser-guided 5 ton computer-controlled machinery. Just you, a saw, some glue, and (Oh, I love it!) duct tape "because I couldn't find any painter's tape." Reminds me of the days when you were in your old garage workshop. Love you in the current "WoodShed" phase, but there's just something about the old videos. Maybe they're more relatable for somebody like me, who has to set up my workshop on the back patio every time I want to do something. Keep up the great work!

Like always, great!
Very good idea floating hexagonal shelves, they are also very cute and decorative !! Greetings from Argentina
Super idea 👍
amazing 👏 work 😍💯👌🏼.
nice work
Have a very happy new year 2021, may all your wishes and hopes for the next year come true, and stay healthy and happy, with best regards from Ernst from Augsburg / Germany
Muy buen diseño y original. Un saludo👍
Though I'm between colonies, as a beekeeper, I love the hexagon shelves! I made a hexagon shaped nest, to put carboard tubes in, for leafcutter bees. Rolling the pieces together with duck tape would have made things easier than the ratchet strap I used.
Nice Work. Hope that you had a GREAT HOLIDAY and A GREAT NEW YEAR'S. #STAYSAFE
Beautiful,,, 👍😍😍😍
Looks great, will need to find different mounting hardware as I didn't like being able to see that mounting hardware after it was up on the wall

I use two hanger bolts per shelf for that truly floating look. This way theres also no gap between the wall and the shelf.
Always enjoy ur videos.... keep the videos please :)
I loved hearing your chickens talking softly!!

so cute!
Cool and simple idea project, though I kept looking around at first thinking some chickens got into my yard because I used my AirPods when watching your vlog. Too funny 😂
Will the humidity in the bathroom cause any problems for the glue?
Nice!!!
Bonito..saludos desde ecuador..
The hexagon shelves would look good with a mirror in them
Nice work. Pro Tip #1: Sand all the pieces back and front before the glue up. It can be sometimes difficult to sand the inside faces with a sander after its assembled especially right at the joints. Pro Top #2: Use a ratchet strap to cinch the shelf tight after glue up to get good adhesion especially if you’re not planning additional reinforcement.
Love you April from Egypt
180 degrees is the sum of the angles cut for all shapes such as the square, the pentagram the hexagon and the octet .. The square there are four angles at 45 degrees and the pentagram 180 over 5 angles of the output 36 degrees and the hexagon 180 on 6 angles, the output is 30 degrees and the eight 180 on 8 angles, the output is 22.5 degrees
Que bonito que te ha quedado esto muy chulo esta i muy guay eres grande April vikelson eres una crack besos i abrazos
I've been meaning to add a few hex shelves to my living room and this is definitely inspiring me to get on that!!! What's the finish that you used? I couldn't find it in the list of links in the description. :3
Bom Trabalho
Hi April , can you plz make a video , how to copy an angle to make it fit with no gap to existing structure? Will be greatly appreciated
Chicken in background was sayin' "Hey, what ya doin? Got anything good for me? No? How 'bout when your done we get me something good to nosh on?"
Hey April, I hope life is treating you well. On your shelves that you put on the wall is there a better mounting system that would better hide the mounts? I noticed that they kind of stick out a little bit from a distance.
I see you like the duck tape methoed to it hold better than the paper taper for shure awsome look in the bath room. 😀
Did you take a long vacation? Haven't seen you lately. Thanks for the video! 🇺🇸

Muy bonito, y parece muy fácil, mi duda es a cuantos grados el ángulo, gracias
@michaelwilwand8036
3 жыл бұрын
Olivia Rivas el ángulo interior de hexágono es 120 grados. Entonces la sierra será inclinada a 60 grados (180-120=60)
April is so sweet. She has that little girl thing about her ya just have to love her. And she has great projects. Thanks April
Hexagons are the Bestagons
Nice 2
Nice project. Everyone knows... hexagons are the bestagons!
Zer good!
I had a candle burning in my bathroom on the Counter with a shelf above it 18 inches it was so hot I could not hold my hand on it if it is still in a small room with no breeze the heat will go straight up ( be careful candles are one of the biggest things are starting house fires )
What finish did you use
Hi april , am from india 🥰
What angle did you use to cut the hex shelf?
@ryanskeete

30degs most likely.
I love the voice-over with the chicky background
Is that glue water-resistant?
Ну что Американцы с новым витком во круг термоядерной звезды Вас! Эйприл ты клёвая, ни слова не понял но выглядит круто 😁👍

We have a home biz here that makes these hexagon shelves for a living. They can't keep up.
Why is it that your videos do not have any captions?
