Float Fishing Steelhead

Спорт

It's mid winter 2014 in Michigan, and we're float fishing for Great Lakes steelhead in pretty adverse conditions. The fish are larger than usual this season, and we were on the hunt to find a few.
This was filmed on the same river where the former IGFA world record brown trout was caught in 2009 that weighed 41 pounds!
The equipment we used on this trip was centerpin reels on 13' float rods, coupled with jigs, spawn, or beads.

JB, Another gret video. I can only laugh when you sweep off a foot of snow off the boat in order to go fishing, and I haven't been to work since Tuesday because we got 6 inches of snow and the whole area went into lock down. Today its 55 and most of the snow is gone the weather for Monday looks good it maybe time to get my Lund out of the garage and head for the lake to do some crappie fishing. Looking forward to the next video Thanks. Steve

This should have a lot more views -- great stuff with some interesting tackle, technique and of course fishing under those conditions. "I'm feelin it today" should become the new catch phrase for 2014 (beats ones like "get her done" and "you mad bro")

Can I one day in the winter join you on a fishing trip and learn how to winter fish? I am use to chasing them on the P.M during the Spring and Fall runs.
