I don't think so though, despite the title and the theme and even some of the lyrics I could also see relating to the show, there's no direct assertion yet saying it is related that I know of. But that's something I really like about the song, a possibly unintentional connection made between a great show from years ago and a great band from today.

This is my new favorite song and I found it completely at random. Words don’t even describe the emotion it gives me but I’m just glad I found it.

The bridge in this song is so good and solid. Totally a moment that can be looped on repeat and it is totally that moment in life when its undeniable that change is coming and your just quietly waiting the minutes out.

This song really tackles a lot of thing iv been dealing with lately in my life, thoughts of time moving by to quickly, being focused on whats been given vs what you have earned, the constant feeling of being in over your head, and rap it all up with that feeling of being o so tired of constantly treading water, it could just be me but i feel as though he is writing this to his mother that has already passed. The line at the end "Dear mother im tired" coupled with the scream really makes me feel as though he is going through it, as he recounts how life has been since she passed to her. My mother is still with me but i dread the day i lose her. love you mom

I remember finding this song on accident almost a year ago now. I was looking for a separate song which was coincidentally also called space cowboy. I had accidentally downloaded this version instead and didn’t even realize. Several months later I was scrolling through my library looking for songs to add to me and my friends playlist we made together and I saw the album cover. I didn’t even remember adding it cause it had been so long but me and my friend sat in silence and listened to the whole thing. Truly a beautiful song with an incredible ending and poetic verse. I thank God that I was lucky enough to hear such a song on accident.
