I know this is an old video but I just had to say thank you. I bought a used cloth diaper lot and it came with flip inserts and covers. I noticed my baby was getting rashes and he never had them before when using disposables(used them for a month). At first I thought it was the detergent but then I read about microfiber and how it shouldn't be against baby's skin, I assumed that's what the fabric was made of, I couldn't tell because the tag was faded. I started using prefolds with them and no more rashes. I didn't like how bulky it got. I finally decided to look up how to use the inserts and I found out I was using them wrong thanks to your video. Now I'm thinking of buying more inserts and covers, even though I find the covers to be huge I still like them.
Thank you! Just started cloth diapering my twins and wasn't sure the correct way to put in the inserts. This helps so much!
Yes prefolds can be cheeper depending on what ones, but the flip system is inexpensive compared to other companies. Prefolds also can be very bulky so for travel and daily use a slimmer diaper can be better
Great review & thanks for taking the time!
to prep the cloth inserts is simple and just needs a normal wash or 2 before use, you can prep them all together and you can hand wash or machine wash the covers
Hey everyone, thanks for the views and great feedback. To answer some questions, to prep the cloth inserts is simple and just needs a normal wash or 2 before use. Yes prefolds can be cheeper depending on what ones, but the flip system is inexpensive compared to other companies. Prefolds also can be very bulky so for travel and daily use a slimmer diaper can be better. Thank again everyone :-)
Best bottoms has snap on inserts and also have double gussets which is a plus 😃👍🏻
I have trouble with leaking between the insert and the elastic. Theres too much of a gap so the cover always gets icky. any tips?
You can also wash them together and hand-washing is fine :)
It’s really easy to add/sew in a velcro system!
I think flip covers and pre-folds is what I will do when I have a baby. But...just putting an insert in the cover is even easier than a prefold. But it is cheaper with pre-folds I believe?
Hello. Thanks for your review. The fact that it doesn't have a velcro and doesn't hold the inserts in place, what problems have you had with it? You said you haven't had a leak, but does the poop or pee get a lot onto the cover and not onto the insert? How bad is it? Thanks!
awesome! thank you
Where can I buy the flip inserts online?
How do prep Flips and Econobum diapers? Can I prep the inserts together and can I handwash the covers?
This is an awesome review!!! I had a lot of questions about the flip system and you seem to answer a lot of them, so thank you very much. I recently purchased 3 flip covers from the seconds sale but I still need to stock up on the stay dry inserts for my newborn due in December :)
Well apparently I've been using these wrong thanks!
I am having twins in Dec...how many shells will I need? Also can these be used overnight? or with a "disposable" screen?
