Looove the UPPAbaby vista stroller system!! I also love that you gave advice of going outside- that has been game changing!!! Going outside and hanging in the backyard instantly calms my baby

Burp cloths/muslin blankets! They are so versatile! They clean up his spit up, drool, spills, keep him warm, cover him from the sun or rain, use to lay him down, etc. they really are amazing

Not most used but my baby also spit up a lot and burp cloths weren't big enough - so my sister gave me the tip of buying flannel blankets and using them instead! This made such a big difference for us!
"...they really just want you." That is some mamma wisdom right there ❤

Thank you for making motherhood seem less intimidating! I love your minimalistic approach!!
currently building my registry and the overwhelm is REAL. Thankful for this. I think people overhype how much babies cost/ how much you need. Obviously taking care of a child will require more time and money but these videos show that its not impossible or way out of reach!
do i have a baby? no. will i watch the whole thing? absolutely

& I love you for this, thank you 🤭
I love this video! And I love how you’re just going about your day, telling us what are your faves and regret purchases. So calm and casual, feels like I’m hanging out with a friend/sister. I’m expecting my first in November, so I’m taking all the notes 🤍
I love the way you filmed this!
I always love seeing your videos pop up! I just commented on Kristin Johns video that you and her are the only KZreadrs I watch. Ya'll are just so chill and your videos are the best "personal time" for this momma!
We used our basic target diaper bag for 3 yrs with our first, and now are using it with our second. I have reflux kids so having multiple outfits and burp cloths on hand, plus diapers etc was a must have for us. Once my first got older it became his toy/coloring bag for going out, and a change of clothes once potty training. For anyone on the fence about items, you don’t need the bougie brands especially since your baby may not like a certain swing, lounger, etc. Ingenuity brand from Walmart, Graco etc all work great.
I’m thankful for this! ❤❤❤
I literally created my registry with this video. Thank you ❤️
I have the car seat camera and LOVE it- they’re inexpensive and so much better than the mirror
Get the Vtech over the crib baby monitor!! It has a monitor and connects to wifi/on your phone!
Would you be able to share your routine/any tips for bottle feeding? For example, cleaning bottles, prepping bottles, etc. I just started my bottle feeding journey and I have yet to find my flow - should I make one at a time, all the bottles for the day, wash as I go, wash once a day… there are so many moving parts! I’d love any insights 😄
I’ve heard (and seen a video) of the sun reflecting off the car mirror and burning the car seat. It immediately sold me on the camera instead of the mirror! Also if the mirror is already falling off I’d definitely make the switch because it can become a projectile object in an accident!! ❤
I loved the cloud island sleepers when my baby girl was a newborn.
Michelle!!! Thank you so much for posting, I’ve been so looking forward to this. Currently 15 weeks with our rainbow baby after 2 years of infertility 🫶❤
Cozy blanket, bottle water heater, bibs and sound machine, Frida baby nose sucker non electric is perfect, better than electric because you can use the amount of force you need while using it, electric one just doesn’t really rwach (straBaby did not really like pacifiers. Baby bassinet with wheels or that swivels for sleeping in our bedroom during cold winter nights & newborn phase. Baby carrier after 4 months is great, Baby activity center sitter after 6 months and decluttering for sure helps a lot with peace of mind.
I really enjoyed this. I completely agree that they need less than what the world tells you. Thank you for sharing ♥️
This was such a fun way to do this video by showing your day! I love how minimalistic you are!
You're so amazing!
I’m also a first time mom due in July. Your videos have been so helpful on my journey. Thank you so much! You’re doing a wonderful job ❤

thank you for the support! ❤️
My 8 month old is still obsessed with her fisher price piano haha ❤
I love the Munchkin diaper pale, it doesn’t smell and the bags actually do fit a lot of diapers. & for mommy’s who are breastfeeding and bottle feeding the Avent Phillips natural nipples are soo good and they don’t cause nipple confusion.
Yay! I've been waiting for this one! Our first is due in August. Thanks for the advice Michelle!!
Two of my family members love their car baby camera!!
Peds Np here, this is awesome Michelle ❤ looooove the bio Gaia for colicky babes I gasped when you showed them
I'm not a mom, just a fan of yours, but just had to say I LOVE how you formatted this video! So unique and almost DIML style. Loved it
I loved this style of video for you! Was so realistic and down to earth!!🥰
thanks Michelle! I’m making a registry right now and so overwhelmed 😂 this is helpful!
I literally just opened KZread to look up just this and saw you posted! So excited!

This will be helpful, thanks for sharing and how you actually use the products.
I have basically watched every single “baby must haves and regrets” video posted on KZread in the last year or two, and this was by far the most fun and enjoyable! I loved the way you took us through your day and naturally discussed the products as they came up. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

I always hear parents talking about how bad their diaper pails smell. Just gonna say that for my bathroom, I have this small plastic $5-10 store brand trash can (with a lid) from Walmart that my family uses for flushable wipes (you all can probably guess what they're for) and it has never once smelled! It was one of my biggest fears when I first got it, but nope it's all good! And we take it out only once a week

So helpful, thank you💗 I’m 31 weeks watching this :)
Thank you for this !! Due in August with my first and I’m just so overwhelmed with all the products !! 🤍
I’m so glad I watched this video, because the thumbnail kind of annoyed me 😅 I found silverettes and a baby carrier so unnecessary, but 20 months in I still use a good sized nappy bag almost every time we leave the house. Especially with a toddler, because you need to have snacks and toys on hand 😅 I love that the direction of the video is more about what you personally liked/disliked and why. It’s always good to hear different perspectives, because there are truly so few “absolute must haves” for every single parent!
Good morning Michelle happy Friday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Michelle i love your baby related videos ❤!! Me and my husband are expecting our first child and i feel so overwhelmed!I try to be prepared to have everything we need but i always think that i should buy something new because we must have it! I loved what you said about our babies just want us. Also i love how you treat your dog now that you have a baby. So many people tell me that now that i will have a baby i will not need my dog anymore but my dog is part of our family not an accessory to throw away. I cannot wait for my dog to meet his little human brother 😊😊 keep uploading amazing videos!!❤
Watching your videos are always therapeutic🥰
I love this approach to a classic “sit down” video. Kinda like just a chatty vlog!
My husband and I both have the car cameras and we absolutely love them! They are worth it for sure and only like $30!
Omg thank you for this! I am currently due in July and I brought and got a lot of stuff already but part of me wonders if am missing out on some products or if the product was unnecessary😭 there are so many products and it’s so overwhelming
We used a bedside playpen with a drop down side and basinette level from newborn to 9m old as our primary crib. The mesh sides keep the pacifiers in and it grew with him. He still uses it at 2.5 when we travel. We upgraded the mattress to a Hiccapop one too.
Not planning to have a baby anytime soon but I love seeing you as a mom and hearing all these insights!

The car camera is amazing! I feel like i don’t have to keep looking into my rear view over and over to get a good view. The cheap ones on Amazon work just great!
LOVEEEE the Doona!!!
So excited to watch! Just had my baby shower last weekend, Baby #1 is arriving in about 4 weeks😌 loving all the mom content as I’m almost in that stage too🫶🏻

As I’m about to be a mama of 2.. this video definitely helped.
I really liked the way you did this video! The car camera is waaaay better than the mirror!!!
me not married with no kids still taking so many mental notes AHAHA
One of my babies had reflux and yes, the loungers were a no-go. The baby bjorn was our favorite.
Love the message that every baby is so different! I mean they are like a whole person lol just small 😂 What one baby loves another might hate. You know your baby best 👌
THANK YOU
Not the snuggle me lounger!! 😂 that was our top baby item lol. My 15 month old still loves it! But to be fair, she didn’t mind being put down and chilling- opposite of a velcro baby

My baby is 14 months next Tuesday and she's a super super velcro child 😅 I cannot ever put her down with her yelling at me😂💕
Thank you for posting Michelle! Just wanted to add if it’s helpful for anyone, another con to the Nanit monitor - I am a nanny and used this for a family. I loved being able to have it on my phone, BUT one time after leaving for the day, no matter how many times I closed the app or turned my phone on and off again, I could still hear the noises from it (in live time of their room!!) so creepy!! I obviously told them right away and the dad fixed it, but definitely do not recommend this baby monitor even though it is convenient.
BIG THANKS for this! Im due with our first baby in November & haven't even started shopping or a registry, simply because its so dang overwhelming! haha 😛😊
Michelle, try the Munchkin diaper pale! It’s amazing. No smell either. You get these fresheners that go on the inside. Change them out every few months. They’re not overbearing with scent either. You’ll absolutely love it!! The liners are super easy too.
What size outdoor blanket did you get?
My daughter just turned one and we've used her diaper backpack one time out and about. We leave it in the car now "just in case" but we never use it. Same with her changing table. We used the portable pads from when she was first born and we still find those so much more convenient then having a designated spot for it. Everyone's living situation and baby is different, great advice though!
@michellereedg

totally agree! I think if we had a two story house I wouldn’t care for a changing table 😅
Appreciate you ❤

hope you have a great weekend, Maria! ❤️
Our baby wouldn't take a bottle when she was really little, which was tough. I don't think I would have gotten through it without the Brest Friend nursing pillow. I think that would be my only specific must-have for a newborn if you're not bottle feeding. I will say it made life much easier when she finally started taking one!
Just what i needed! Im 33 weeks and starting to nest :)
@michellereedg

so fun that was my favorite time! 🥹🪺
Snuggle me/doc a tot are so essential for 2nd/3rd babies!
Don’t give up on the snuggle me just yet lol you’ll love it with the next baby!
I saw you have the Lovevery play gym. Is it worth the price tag? I want to buy it but it's an investment. 😊
@michellereedg
23 күн бұрын
yes we really love it!
We have 3 boys 5 and under, and we somehow fit 3 convertible carseats in the back of our Toyota camry 😂 I honestly don't know how that's possible, but it's working for now 🤷♀️
The baby bjorn bouncer has been a life saver for me. My baby loves it. He is 4 months old and knows how to bounce himself. I wanted to baby wear so bad and I have the Tula. It has hard to do when he was really little so I will try again soon now that he’s almost 5 ml the old.
Just a general question to the mamas out there: do parents just not use the regular no-camera baby monitors anymore?? It seems like everyone only ever uses camera monitors but what happened to the traditional ones like we had growing up that are just a little walkie-talkie-looking speaker where baby has one and parent takes the other with them. Is there a reason people don’t use them as much anymore? The camera ones kind of creep me out ngl but let me know how you all like them, I am very curious! (I’m not a mom yet but thinking ahead to the future)

The video gives me so much peace of mind. We do a non-wifi one because I definitely don’t want wifi, but I like to be able to see my little one. It definitely helps ease some anxiety. Like if she’s silent all night- is she sleeping through the night, or is she gone? No way to know unless I go in her room and disturb her by opening the door. And with just noise, I would assume she’s wide awake ready to go when I hear her but she’s not always. Sometimes she’s just talking herself back to sleep. With the video, I’ll see if she’s laying down trying to fall back asleep or if she’s standing in her crib ready to get up. Without the video I wouldn’t know and would probably go in to get her at times when she’s actually going back to sleep.

I think the walkie talkie ones are good if you are only going to check on baby if they cry or make noise, but I personally also wanted to be able to see that my baby was breathing 🫣 so I went with the momcozy monitor that has a great camera
@SkyaStanley
20 күн бұрын
Yes! I only do the sound monitor. Honestly, a monitor is definitely not a must have. Baby usually stays in the same room as mom and dad in the first few months/year, and even after that, if they cry, you can usually hear them! Do whatever works for your family.
Lol I love how different babies are.. I had so many burp clothes, I also have the least spitty baby ever so that was a waste for us 🙃
This is my second baby and building my registry has me so stressed 😅
I had no idea about the footie pajamas in the baby carrier…my son is 1 and wore footies in it like every time 😂🤦🏻♀️The more you know lol
❤❤
I’m having twins this October and am worried about the breast feeding, I would love a whole video on this if you are up for it :)

don’t be worried! I’d just go into it with an open mind ☺️❤️
I’ve absolutely loved my Wildbird Aerial carrier (easy to put on by myself) for anyone looking for a pretty, comfortable carrier that is cheaper than the Artipoppe!
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)
my baby boy has sensitive skin like his mommy and daddy, so hypoallergenic diapers and wipes makes a big difference. coterie is what we use, but in a pinch the honest brand is nice too. we like the ubbi diaper pail. i have been blessed with an oversupply of milk so for me a good pump was 100% worth it. the dr browns milk jug is really helpful for heavy producers. we got the baby bjiorn baby carrier mini which is lovely for little babies thru the first year. i got several mushie muslin cloths/blankets and they are wonderful and quite multipurpose. we used these to swaddle until he started rolling (if swaddling intimidates you, ask the hospital nurses to show you how to do it! they can help you practice) splurges that we loved… nuna car seat and double stroller and bassinet - he slept in the bassinet for the first 4 mo and it was lovely to have the option to push him in the stroller even when he was less than a week old! baby bjiorn bouncer. i know it’s pricey and unnecessary but i appreciate that it’s aesthetically pleasing and folds so thin. things i would change… i got the solly baby wrap but didn’t use it much. i got the ubbi weighted wipes container but I don’t feel like it’s necessary if you are using coterie wipes because they are so high quality and thick and the packaging is nice (and aesthetically pleasing). but overall we were very intentional about our purchases and i am happy with most of them. even the two i mentioned are nice products - im still using the wipes dispenser and hopefully will get to use the solly wrap with the next kiddo since i will have a better idea of how to use it. things that i would recommend… register with babylist. thank me later. if you plan to pump, have that stuff ready before baby gets here (even the flanges - i know your size might change, so get a couple and keep the receipt). we had to triple feed less than a week in and it was pretty difficult to get everything we needed and learn how to pump in such a short amount of time. non traditional purchases that have been incredible… breastfeeding and pumping course at our hospital. taking cara babies sleep training course. purchased at 4 mo but we wish we got it earlier. baby led weaning / starting solids course. i can’t remember the exact name but i can update the comment if anyone is interested. purchased at 5 mo which felt just right.

oh also having a postpartum basket with snacks, drinks. pumping items, silverettes, nipple balm… so incredibly helpful for that first month or two when you are up all night
