Great video as always. Using multicam with my iPhone 14 plus at 240 FPS with good light I can see my club head at impact. I don't feel like enough people are talking about this. It's really helped me a lot.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos So that might be the difference. Not in the PC app but in the IOS app by selecting "iPhone Rear SloMo Camera" when selecting which camera to use.

@@twistacatz must be. I did try front and rear camera selections. I already submitted the feedback to Flightscope and will for sure do an updated video with 240fps!

Hi Jay, Thx for the great videos. I would like to ask : for someone with a Mevo+ and no Apple devices (FS multicam does not work for me on Android), would you recommend to get the pro package data with the PC app or to use the subscription for Swing Catalyst if your goal was to analyse your swing in two angles? Or do you have another option?

Would one be able to utilize the Windows based software for the Mevo + after a range session? I do not have the ceiling height in my current house to have an indoor setup. ☹ I was curious if there would be any utility in using the Mevo + outdoors (with an iPhone during the range session), and then bringing the device back home and connecting the device to a Windows based PC after the session. Would all of the shot data from the range be saved on the device in order to review it post session? Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.

Got this to work with an iPhone as a secondary camera, along with the camera on the Mevo+ HOWEVER do you know of any other cameras that work HARDWIRED to the PC running this software?

This is great! Do you know if the video replay can be set to “auto play” so that you don’t have to go to the PC each time to view your swing?

Great question. I didn’t see a setting for that but I think it’s a great suggestion. If it doesn’t have that feature, I will let them know!

Can you split the screen vertically vs horizontally? I have grown accustomed to the telemetry data at the bottom of the screen on my IPad and just started using the PC version.

I’m sure they are ok, but I would just grab one on Amazon if you want an accurate reading they are really useful and inexpensive. Maybe I’ll try one next to the meter and see how accurate they are I guess :) Appreciate you watching and sharing the idea.

Frame rate and shutter speed are completely different things. 30fps won’t give you a blurry image, it will just give you less of them.

I thought I explained that clearly. Sorry if I did not. The shutter speed is a must to have each frame frozen. It takes a ton of light usually to lower the exposure of most cameras enough to have the shutter speed fast enough to freeze each frame. From there in order to catch things like impact of the ball and/or certain parts of the swing you will need a fast frame rate so you do not miss parts as not everything will be recorded. I have dived into this pretty deep on many videos, sorry if I was moving to fast here and misspoke in anyway. I talk a lot about this in my Swing Catalyst videos. Thanks for watching and commeting!

Thank you! Yes all mevo+ and x3 devices work with FS Golf for PC (only $99 if you need the license) you also can use FS golf for iOS with multi cam!

Great video, thanks! BTW I’m having issues with the face impact part of FS golf. For me the impact location with Irons is really good; however, it’s way off with driver and hybrids. I’ve let Flightscope know about this, but so far no solutions: I would be interested if you or anyone else is seeing this.

It most likely is due to light. Try to brighten up the area from the unit to the ball and just after the ball. If you don’t have enough ambient light, he will need more than a stated amount in hitting area.

I have the mevo plus and use it almost exclusively with GS Pro with a high end pc. So I only use my iPad/iPhone for initial set up and nothing else. It looks like the new FS range and such have improved to the point of trying them out again. I hate having to use my iPad, cause it’s a hassle with iPhone tethering and then hooking it all up to my projector. So do you think it’s worth the $99 PC connection? Are the free E6 courses still only for IOS?

The PC version is getting enhancements pretty quickly and hopefully will be on par with iOS or even better. The 2023 model does now come with iOS and PC e6.

Sorry off topic, but will you be reviewing the new SkyTrak Plus? Curious about Mevo+ vs SkyTrak plus. Especially club data / face path accuracy.

I didn’t say it did. Global also doesn’t. It’s shutter speed which you can get from a non global shutter as well. FPS is how many times it captures each image the shutter speed is if it freezes it or not. More light with global shutter allows for lower exposure which raises shutter speed. I have been an advanced camera users for 20 years.

does the multicam software dictate the frame rates for the cameras? or is there any ability to define it? Also, can the PC hook to other camera thru the PC (as you had other cameras show up on you list during setup) vs using the multicam iOS app?

From what I can tell yes it does but I’m speaking with them and checking to see if that can be an option. Someone mentioned on the iPad. They were able to get 240 frames per second so this may be only to the PC app that needs another update.

I'm setting up a Home Golf Simulator. We want to setup custom wall/ceiling mounted panels rather than using a pre-built enclosure (like Carl's Place, etc.) Also, we need help with design, etc. Do you have any suggestions. We want a high quality screen and projector. We already have a Mevo Plus.

I have suggested it and hope they do. But just keep in mind with phones club blur is still usually tough indoors due to shutter restrictions on phones in low light

I tried this with the FS Golf android app on my tablet and there is no option for multiple cameras.I have my phone connected to the FS multi cam app but the the Tablet doesnt recognise it. This must only work on iOS or PC ?

I have the mevo + 23 edition using the PC version of flightscope. I'm trying to get the recording feature working with just the mevo. I am able to get a recording but it is very blurry and zoomed in too much I have tried zooming out as far as possible but just get the waist down in the video. The mevo is 8' back of hitting area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

figured it out - need to urn off advanced fusion mode, not sure what fusion mode does but now I can see the video

Always a reference to iPhone, I'm guessing it also works with an android phone if its through the PC?

I have tested this myself and it's not worth it being only 30 fps. You can barely make out your swing. I just film myself in the slow motion setting on my phone and use that video for analysis. Flightscope needs to fix this. Also high speed webcams cant even use their higher fps on this as well.

As you can see in the video, I think it would primarily be for setup, top of swing, and body positions. You are definitely not getting the club at this FPS. I am sharing the feedback with them in hopes we can get it up to at least 60 but hopefully 120 or 240fps. Thanks for watching!
