Most won’t as they feel it would cause a loss in business. I get where they are coming from, but my entire channel is about doing it yourself. That is, unless I don’t know how, than I try to share and learn.

Every tuner is different and charges different anywhere from 500-1000$

Thanks for the Vid. Since the fuel line clips are so important (safety reasons) can we purchase or maybe update the kit again for extra $ to include 2 more to put on the sensor connection? Fuel line coming off would be really bad news!

Lethal i gotta question- I had to get new tires on my SS so I went to the dealership cause they were willing to do price match. Anyways I got new tires put on and my car but it doesn’t feel the same. It doesn’t drive the same I feel literally every bump , some make my whole car shake , road noise , and corners don’t feel safe like it did before ( just to name a few ) what do you think the problem is?

Any issue with the fuel pump life running E85 long term? Some plastics aren’t designed to work with E85.

No issues we've seen to date. all GM fuel pumps are rated for e85, it is part of their design spec and has been since 2009.

Just FYI those fuel line clips on top of the intake cover are very sensitive to side load and want to break. Be sure there isn't too much pressure on them.

@@pali1H the new braided line we’re using should be problem free for many years, GM’s line will get stiff and hard over time with the braided wrap.

How do you pull out the connector?

the only thing i need to run e85 is basically this flex fuel sensor and a tune right? no need to upgrade fuel injectors/etc?

I'm pretty sure you need bigger injectors to run full E85 but I think this kit is for like E50 (93/E85 mix)

where did you learn to do all of this to cars? I personally love cars but i’m having a hard time learning them to the extent that i’d like. do you have any recommendations on information or processes i could take to learn more? i currently have a 2018 camaro 2ss and i would love to build it into something really nice but i’m just scared i’m going to do something wrong and cause damage.

I got lucky and became friends with people who knew a lot and was able to learn from them. It took me a long time to get comfortable doing things, but finally have taken on projects I would have steered away from in recent years.

Hey so I just got my 2016 camaro ss from the shop and I got the flex fuel kit do I have to upgrade my injectors cause they didn’t do that when they installed it

Your stock fuel system can support 600rwhp. So unless you have some other major mods, you should be good.

What do you use in your personal car to monitor the E content? I really dont want to run any gauges inside the car. I would rather bluetooth it with FlexLink or Fuel It apps to my phone. Just curious what you run.

Yes, that is what flex fuel is. If you did a e85 only tune, that would be a different story.

You would need a manual test kit or buy a gauge that can read ethanol content.

I had to force my white wire in for some reason it didn’t go in easy and everything is hooked up my car doesn’t have a CEL is it supposed to come on some people say yes some say no just wanna make sure it’s actually getting power before I go get it tuned in the next couple weeks thanks

If it didn’t slide in easy, the ECU opening might not be all the way clear. A CEL isn’t guaranteed right away. It can turn on, but doesn’t always turn on.

@@Lethalgarage I was able to put a punch all the way through the harness so I know it wasn’t clogged and when I did get the pin in I made sure it was straight and it clicked in the blue shield went on no problem I guess I’ll wait and find out when I go get it tuned

So what's the process of a 'tune'? What actually happens? What is adjusted? Do you have a video already?

We do not show tunes or the process. You should work with a professional and have them go over those details with you.

Can you run only e-85 or can you run all the other fuels like 93 with the kit still installed??

Flex Fuel allows you to run either fuels or a mixture of them.

So the only difference in the updated kit is the steel braided line? I still have the old kit brand new in the bag. Should I swap it for the updated one?

Not sure why YT doesn't show me new messages and comments, but it adds power, and for a ZL1 you will need more than just a kit. The ZL1 will need additional fueling support to run 100% E85, but you can gain upwards of 100rwhp.

What do i do if i installed this kit and the check engine light comes on

If it’s not tuned than a CEL will turn on. The ECU sees the pin and doesn’t know what to do with it. But I would verify it’s not an Evap code which would indicate the connection is hooked up tight/properly.

How much does it cost for someone to do this for you? I know the kit is like 250

We do not. Only DSX offers that to my knowledge thanks to the tuning required.

Your stock fuel pump and injectors will get you to 600hp, anything above that, yes, changes will be required.

@@julesblancfer6060 it’s not possible to have flex fuel. You can go to any tuner who is willing to work on a 2.0 and have them straight tune it for e85, but you can’t set it up with a sensor and run pump or e85.

No one has asked why that car baseline dynoed so low? Ive never seen a stock lt1 car that low on power , not even an auto. Am i missing something?

You do realize you have 455hp/trq at the crank and not wheels. Every dyno reads different. I’ve seen some dyno in the 340-360 range. Maybe go look for more dyno results. Same dyno my car racked up 1,100+ trq. /shrug

Depends on the shop. Ranges from $650-$1200 depending what year your vehicle is and if the do a dyno tune or not.

Doesn't really matter what the fuel line that comes with it is rated for right? Aren't you going to be still be limited to what the factory line that your still using on the other half of it is rated for? Or is my wife right when she tells me I'm retarded, and I'm missing something.

@@Lethalgarage are those bypass kits any good? Where you put the sensor in it, it'll sample of the fuel, while the rest of the fuel runs past it, unrestricted? Or is that only useful if your using a higher pressure system.
