When I did this to my parents I called them on the phone to tell them I'd missed the flight while standing right outside the front door. After a minute or so I rang the bell. My dad said "hang on someones at the door let me answer it."

My children were 2months,1.5 ,3 and 4.5. I told them we were going shopping. 10 hrs later they kept saying. "We don't like this shop" Delta Airlines were so helpful

I love it when a baby just knows she's in baby heaven from the first time, from that moment she's in grandma's bosom where nothing can go wrong. Nothing. Look how peacefully she sleeps.

My son and his wife flew from Austin, TX to Mumbai with their 6 months daughter in 2018. I tried to tell them that such a long journey may not be good for the baby. The baby proved me wrong. She not only travelled safely to Mumbai and then on to Pune but also flew to Jammu and attended Kashmiri wedding of her mother's cousin before returning to Austin. The young couple is very excited to be visiting parents with their baby. May they all be happy and joyous at all times.

@@theclayfam Yes, she was. Conditions in a plane are terrible for such small kids, but you choose the best way to do it. I have been flying with Singapore Airlines for many years now (travelling Germany - Philippines between 1986 to 2016). The cabin crew ladies LOVE those babies and kids. I wish you and your family all the best. Keep healthy and happy!

Such positive people. Kyra is a lucky girl to have parents for whom the little things are not obstacles. The tone of voice of each parent is pleasing and upbeat. Best wishes to this lovely family.

Reminds me of when I made a surprise return to the UK from Thailand. My Mother was for the only time in her life speechless. Hoping that next year I will be able to visit all my family.

Incredible story about a young couple bringing their child for the first time to meet their extended family and grandparents what a lovely story

When you said that your sister might cry, I said "YEAH she might". Thinking of how I cried when I held my newest niece for the first time in May, and she was only six weeks old at that point (born on Easter). Even those six weeks felt wayy too long, so I can't imagine having to wait six months! I'm the kind of aunt who is crazy about and with those kiddos 😍 so I want to meet them right away! My brother lives only one country away so it wasn't such a long journey fortunately, but even being so close to them we could not go because at that point crossing the border was not allowed for non essential travel. And nomatter how essential I feel it is to cuddle my baby niece and admire her little tiny toes and hands and everything in person, I highly doubt the police would've thought the same 😅🙈 So I had to gather up all my patience! In the mean time I finished crocheting more presents and anticipate the joy of getting to give them once I finally was there. It is so sad how this whole situation can separate you from the people you love for long periods of time (at least by modern standards ofcourse), because we need each other so much, even more so in times of stress and uncertainty! I am glad you get to spend at least several months with your family! Your baby girl is adorable by the way 😊

Loved watching this. Mommy has such a warm beautiful smile. The family will love her. 😊

I agree. It was pretty calm. My family is Cuban. There would have been jumping up and down, screaming, hugging, kissing and crying. Cubans are crazy like that. LOL. The baby girl is beautiful and I hope you guys have a wonderful time with your family.

You have such a lovely family & your daughter is precious! I want to thank you for sharing your beautiful video, because it brought back such an amazing memory for me! Back in 1986, my 3 month old son and I flew from Missouri to Virginia to visit my parents. He was their first grandchild, and I’ll never forget their reaction. They knew we were coming, so they met us at the gate. Basically, my mom ran to meet me, grabbed my son, and she & my dad walked out of the airport with him, leaving me behind to get the luggage & find them! LOL! I loved seeing how much they loved my son and how over the moon they were over finally having a grandchild! We had spent 6 long years enduring fertility treatments, a miscarriage, and major surgery, only to be told we’d probably never be able to have a baby, but God had other ideas! If you are going through anything similar, never give up hope.

I love the little crib they set up for the baby. She looked so cozy in there.

Its called a bassinet. I always book for one on my SQ flights when my kids were babies. But the baby must be strapped onto you during takeoff and landing. I don't condone what I am seeing in this video - the baby placed on the seat just like that. In a turbulence she will fly straight to the ceiling. Eithee keep babies strapped onto you or secured inside the bassinet. The bassinet is comfortable enough, the baby gets to stretch and sleep.

The kitchen scene makes me very misty eyed and enjoy your beautiful daughter( They grow up so fast; my daughter just graduated from UCLA this month) and enjoy you parents. I miss both my mom and dad every day. Cherish it daily ! Beautiful happy family. Greetings from Vegas. Take care.

His parents didn’t even show any emotion almost as if they see them every day. Kinda weird. My family would be hugging and squeezing all of us. They were a bit cold except for holding the baby. Because she really is a doll🥰💖💗💕

This is my first time to watch. You are such a beautiful family! When we first brought our son to my in-laws, it was so crazy! We stayed with them for a week, but I don’t think I saw my baby more than few hours a day! He was kidnapped by his grandmother, aunts and uncles. We are Americans(I am a Japanese American,by the way.) But I noticed that the British people are quite stoic. Now my daughter is married to an Italian American. You can just imagine how that goes!

Very anti climatic. Just the calm English I expect. I surprised my family. Came back from Germany unexpectedly to USA, first time away from family. There was screaming, and running and Mom thinking girls hair dryer exploded. Etc. Later when dad came home from work, laid in front on tv among siblings. When he noticed me, he almost had a heart attack. Couldn’t talk, breath etc, put us all in a panic. Now THAT was a surprise.😂🎉

There have been very strict covid restrictions in the UK, including not hugging people from different households. Although these have now been lifted (in May), many people are still cautious about hugging.

Yes, not a wave, hug, kiss, hand shake in sight! Can't be Covid as grandmother took baby immediately. Laughter, but no evident elation at their arrival. Babies obviously loved but reserved adults.

The moment is SO precious - I hope my daughter tells me in advance 🙏 so I dont have the moment flashed with " what am i wearing , how clean is the bathroom , do I have food in , I have no welcome gift , I have an appointment later - all that - I would much rather have a wonderful nesting time excitedly nesting, cooking , buying toys and baby outfits, flowers around the house and building excitement 🐣
