Friendly reminder that Dave assembled this entire project on a section of video chosen specifically by someone claiming it showed obvious signs of forgery. As in, not only did he not cherry-pick this particular space-walk, it was cherry-picked by people who disagree with him. This is the power that you carry when you believe things that are actually true. You don't have to pick out just the littlest details that make you seem right if you look at it the right way. You don't have to ignore large swathes of information suggesting (if not outright proving) that your belief is incorrect. You can pull together grand displays like this where you show that ALL available evidence supports your belief, all working together in harmony to show the same one truth clear as day, no obfuscation required. Because as a wise man once said, there IS only one truth.

@@htownblack9184 Then I look forward to seeing the cohesive, all-encompassing description of how every observation we make can make sense all at the same time on a flat earth. If you're correct, it should well be possible for someone to propose one that works as well as or better than the one we currently have for the globe. After all, the truth is the truth no matter what, and you say the truth is that the earth is flat. The Flat Earth community should well be capable of coming together to form one that at least does pretty well. No need to get it perfect first try. Any time a discrepancy is found, it can be adjusted slightly to account for that new information while not losing any old information. Piece by piece, it gets closer to perfection, until you have a flawless description of reality. Fun fact, the closer you get to having one of these, the more cool things you can do with it, like predicting when certain rare events will happen in the future. Eclipses are a great example. Do let me know when the community has one of these up and ready to show, I'd love to see it.

I was born '72. I saw on TV how the Challenger exploded when I was 14 years old, and it was the same clip over and over again. If you had doubts back then, it would have been a little bit plausible because of the pre-selected and very limited material. All that changed. It's so amazing how much material, information, images, photos, videos and most in real-time we get and can compare and use. We also can check old material from back then that we never got to see on linear media like TV. Never in history we had more proof and information to confirm how the earth, moon, sun and the rest of the universe looks. How people still think all of this is fake is blowing my mind.

Hell yeah this is great. One thing that's really nice is that you can see EXACTLY how the go-pro's lens "curves" straight objects like the edge of the space station. And then you can see the curvature of the earth and it's very obviously not the same or even similar levels of curve. edit: good example of this at 49:00. The right edge of the solar panel is approximately at the same distance from the center of the camera as the edge of the earth, and they're clearly not curved the same amount.

They'll just use implausible denial like they always do. Like my friend of mine who's a pilot for Delta commented about being delayed having to take on chemtrail mind control chemicals on Facebook and opened a real shitshow when, instead of saying he was joking, the first comment was "I knew it, how can you in any good conscience be doing this to the people on the ground," he answered "they pay us pilots a healthy stipend to gas people per flight, it puts food on the table," which then people shared, and shared, and soon Delta HQ called him into their office over it. Mind you, no, chemtrails aren't real, it's frozen moisture and of course he knew that but you can't even joke around with these choads, they're that ret@rded.

So just to make sure that i have the flat earth claim straight... NASA created a multi hour cartoon that perfectly replicates the weather on Earth, and kept everything perfectly in sync over miltiple cameras. And rather than have cartoon astronauts in their cartoon world interacting with cartoon props, they have real people in real suits, doing all sorts of additional camera tricks and special effects to do the whole weightless thing, and just forgot to edit out the studio lights at one point when they were busy editing in the background, foreground, and getting rid of the harnesses and whatever weightlessness simulating gear they were using. And they're spending all of this money and having a conspiracy involving anyone involved in telecommunications, surveying navigation, physics, astronomy, meteorlogy, and no doubt multiple large fields of knowledge, who are all actively involved in maintaining the conspiracy, so they can all... what? Sit back and snicker at the handful of people who aren't involved in actively maintaining the illusion?

@Dave McKeegan There is a problem with your tracking map (bottom RH corner). I was doing some rough caculations to confirm the ISS speed, when I noticed its position on the map suddenly changed about 800 miles (33:39). I think the problem is before this point. Tracking its path across Africa from the west coast (27:33) to the point when the position suddenly changed (33:39) was approx 1207 miles (on Google maps). This gives a ground speed of approx 11,970 mph. But the measured distance from it crossing the west coast (27:33) to crossing the east coast (33:46) was approx 2050 miles, giving a ground speed of approx 19,838 mph. I should emphasize that these are very rough measurements and calculations done using a smart phone, not a computer. Also the calculated speeds will be a bit too high as the distance measurements were straight-line distances, rather than those along the slightly longer orbital path. I realize the map was only meant to be a rough guide, and other than that glitch, the tracking appeared to move smoothly and at a consistant rate.

Bolts are fasteners that connect things by using a spiral ramp around a cylindrical surface rotated into a matching recess in one part, and extending the cylinder through the other part to be connected. A bolt head at the end of the cylinder is used to apply compression between the parts. Application of multiple bolts in a pattern can apply a reasonably uniform fixture pressure between the parts allowing them to remain aligned in the presence of forces trying to pry them apart, shear them across the mating surface, or rotate them around the center of the connection.

I have to give thanks to LEO and then to Dave and Wally. Without them, very few people would have actually watched this footage, which kind of begs the question. Why would NASA bother faking it when they know that only a few people are ever going to watch it? Both the Go-Pro and the Stream at the point of posting this have been up for over 3 years and have less than 4900 views on each. Most of these views would be from people who already are convinced by the evidence that the Earth is not flat, so what is the point of doing this? The general population is never even going to be aware of this footage, so it can't be to convince them, and most of those who watch it will have already been set in their beliefs on the shape of the Earth and the existence of the space and the ISS, so the endeavor seems to be utterly pointless unless it is genuinely exactly what it says on the box.

Out of curiosity, what is the flat earther view of the other planets, moons, and sun? Do they also feel these are flat? If not, and they acknowledge these other celestial bodies are spherical, then why (obviously because they are ignorant, but ...) do they feel the earth is different than them?

Many of them claim that space is fake, other planets are just lights in the sky, and “we don’t know” the true nature of the sun and moon. No evidence of their claims, but that never stops a flat earther from confidently spewing BS.

They think the sky is some sort of projection on a dome-like object. Apparently the sun and the moon are way smaller and closer than they are in reality, or in their words, theyre "local" They (or at least some) also believe we are test subjects for aliens and that the government of the world is trying to hide it. I got this claim first hand from my father who is unfortunately a flat earther

Where do we go to find the attempted debunkings of this? Someone should make a list, I can't wait to see how the Flerfs attempt to explain this away!

All the Flat-Earthers need to do is go to 34:24 to debunk this video. Only the true ones will know what is there. Btw non Flat-Earth people AKA normal people, there is nothing at 34:24 that debunks this video, I just added the comment so the Flat-Earthers will waste a lot of time trying to find something, they don't do any true research, so they won't read this bit lol :D
