"Going To Need A Bigger Boat"... Well Done for not panicking or stopping whilst driving through the floods, the best clothing decision I have heard you make for wet weather is the one piece suit, a HGV tanker driver gave me his suit 45 years ago and I have used them ever since, they only cost £45.00 from most motorcycle dealers, be careful buying online, you really need to try them on over your normal riding gear otherwise they can be very uncomfortable and split,... Good Luck with the exhaust fitting,...OAP Living The Dream, Wales UK.

Unbelievably I was riding my Sportster in this on Friday. Was heading north to Grantham for a weekend rally. Got 25 miles into North Essex and was forced to turn back due to flooding. I was wearing goretex riding jacket and trousers, and both were soaked all the way through the lining. The best waterproofs I’ve found are my 2 piece goretex British military issue. I prefer 2 piece as a lot of times I just wear the over trousers to deflect road spray

It's worth investing a little time with some emery cloth (wet and dry paper) on those down pipes before fitting. I have recently done this on my Bonnie with near new outcome. I suggest 400 grade to begin with, then move to 800, for a finer finish and finally use Solvol Autosol to polish to a great near new finish. Trust me on this. Well worth it.

Hi Freddie, As always a very enjoyable video... A thought about your Triumphs Tank.. If it was me doing the "re badge" then the first thing I would do is to ONLY remover the T and the H from the Lacquered Triumph emblem! Then see if the stick on badge covers what is left (which I think it will). That's would save you a LOT of work and avoid potential Tank damage.. Place the tank badge where it needs to go (Look at the curvature and that will show you), then see what you actually need to remove.

Did Freddie say,"it should be easy." ? Lol. Uh, oh. I enjoyed the brief sounds of Barry White from your radio. Regarding the US gov't paying extra to live off base... In the early 80's, i was stationed at Moffett Field, located in the Bay Area (Not far from San Francisco). At first, I stayed in the barracks, then as I promoted, I moved off base, in which the govt paid a portion. As you probably know, The San Francisco Bay Area is if not the most expensive place to live in the US, it's surely got to be second place, maybe in comparison to New York somewhere. Wonderful little tour you folks always give us, thank you! If I was local, I surely would help you put your bike back together!

Walked the rest of the way home listening to my alarm going off until it finally died ..Good luck with the exhaust it's not really hard at all to fit, you may need new copper gaskets to attach them to the engine so you don't have any leaks they are cheap.😁Cheers

Freddie - if you spent less money on corporate coffees and silly clothes you would be able to buy decent parts for your motorcycle and maintain it properly. Those downpipes will never clean up, and the silencers will do exactly that. Why not get a decent aftermarket system? Forget the Millets suit - waterproofs designed for walking about in will not keep you dry on a motorcycle. Walkers don't do 70 mph down motorways in the pouring rain. You need something motorcycle specific, preferably Gortex Pro (which is "guaranteed to keep you dry"). Buy cheap and buy twice (or many times!). If you decide to fit the exhaust yourself then use new gaskets (they are a crush type), and a torque wrench at the correct setting. I hope at least some of that is helpful.

The trousers are like waders, come high up and the jacket fits snug with stretch so will go over anything without feeling like a bin liner. Were you talking about RAF Lakenheath? Monika seems to want to belong to the upper class, maybe you as well, as both toy with the poss. of living in Bury St E. I much prefer the mentality of Ipswich, it seems to be more "real and genuine", the place where one finds more, and probably better, contact to the people of today. The so called disreputable image that Ipswich is supposed to have, is a relic of days gone by, and almost certainly told by the older generation. Anyway, a "poxy little Fiat" would not cut it in Bury, it would have to be at least a Range Rover! And now a word on Monika's oustanding talent of catching many a small detail and the right and/or unusual angle is amazing..., for me it's often the highlight of the upload, even though I always tune in for the content. Well done you two, carry on doing on what you're doing and thanks for the effort you're putting in for the top class entertainment we are getting out of it.

I definitely agree that Bury is a nice place to live. My wife and I lived there for about 18 months in the middle 1990s. We moved there from just outside Ely. I have to correct one thing you said about Americans living in that area: It’s not the US Army. It’s the US Air Force. The USAF runs two large bases nearby: RAF Lakenheath (where I was stationed) and RAF Mildenhall. So there are a great many Yanks in the region. And a lovely region it is. I lament that you and Monika gave to move away from there.

Remember to get the exhaust muffler gaskets or you will have gas leaking out where the pipes connect to the muffler Freddie. They may already be there inside the connecting section on the muffler but make sure it is, would not be surprised if the breakers removed all the old gaskets and seals. You should probably also replace your exhaust header gaskets as well ( there's a gasket that seals the pipes to the engine exhaust manifold) they should be replaced whenever you install a new exhaust esp if its old. These gaskets should not be nearly as hard to find as your engine head gasket btw.

Enjoyed that. The exhaust should be quit simple. New copper washers in the cylinder head. Fit everything loose and when it’s all in the right spot tighten up.

The US Air force pays depending on Rank for housing some less than you said some more. Yes it does inflat the rental market.

The cost of living allowance or COLA is an effort to keep families together and increase retention. The COLA amount varies depending on location and during my years it sometimes covered the cost in living in civilian areas when military housing was not available and sometimes it didn't. American military are stationed all over the world and sometimes the families are not allowed to go or can go only if the military member covers 100% of the cost. I've had assignments where I've had to cover the whole cost, others where the COLA left me covering $1000 per month out of pocket. Still others where military housing was available and some where the COLA covered the entire rent. During a 20+ year career I expect a military members will see all four scenarios.

I used to go to Suffolk every summer with mum & dad as we had relatives in the area, we stayed in Kenton, near Debenham about 12 miles north of Ipswich. I remember going to look at a USA base then.

I would get someone to fit that for you, with the mileage on the bike the exhaust studs have heated up and cooled down far too many times for them to be removed with ease Freddie, you will also require new studs and nuts and OEM gaskets - I would not use paste. Get the garage that fixed the head to put it on for you.

If you have a thing for mummified cats have a look at the Mill Hotel in Sudbury before you leave Suffolk. Its in the reception area in the floor, just where it was found when the Mill was renovated. If you like Bury i think you would like Sudbury too. Youve been to Long Melford, its literally 2 minutes from there!

This is one of your best videos yet! I know Quadlock is a sponsor but you aren’t using one in the Fiat. After using Quadlock for years I have thrown them out. I have switched to Peak Design. The motorcycle mount has built in anti vibration. The case is incredibly thin. The car mount is only a strong magnet, no lock like the bike one has. When I got it I literally threw my phone at the mount and it clamped itself on. It is truly one handed on and off and even more secure than a Quadlock. They might consider sponsorship if you tell them you’re sponsored by Quadlock.
