I'm always looking for old classic semi trucks to save and restore. I'm also always looking for trucks or parts Detroit Diesel related. If you have one that needs to be saved or you know of one you can drop me an email at the following address: Ol2Stroker@gmail.com
Be sure to check out our website ol2stroker.com for truck parts and merch!

Wayne, that maxi valve is an early version MANDATED by California in the sixties. It was a separate dedicated air tank to be used when the truck broke down, or in any way disabled. It was only used to charge the maxis long enough to get it off the highway in emergency situations when truck couldnt air itself up. They were way ahead of all the other states in this regard. Bill

I just put all new lines in a buddies truck that came from California and had this system on it, air from the emergency brake valve goes through a double check valve to supply air to the spring barakes

I had just gotten out of USMC in 1966 and bought a 1965 IH Emeryville built with just braking system not mandated by Ca and the first trip I took to the west coast, they put me out of service in Banning and made me get that system put on my almost new tractor. E@@natefredenberg1892

Ahhhhh gotcha
That raincap is mounted the correct way so many people face them the other way
That would make a great fifth wheel hauler, you’d only do a couple hundred miles and be ready to set up camp for the day.. perfect
Mack used 3 valve system on air brakes yellow to set both tractor and trailer park brakes, red trailer only and blue tractor only. I have a 1979 r600st mack and the blue valve you really don't need. But I hope that helps. There is also a anti puff valve on back of injection pump to prevent massive black smoke puff while shifting.

Hey ,check under the back of the cab ,we had one at work and I found the wet tank was back there hiding and full of scmooo😁😎
" It works enough to work" 🤣🤣🤣 good stuff Wayne.
That preview in the intro was cool, I like when videos have that
I love the stack cam footage...oh you have a headlight out...right side
I had the same Mack Model 700 in my profile picture except had a 8v71 Detroit 13 speed with Glasspack pipes great truck that rode like a tank!
How much they charging you for that, because as long as you don't have a clear coat on your wheels, other aluminum doodads. Go get yourself some condenser cleaner from AC supply house, and I promise you, that you won't have to mix it nearly as strong as napa's cleaner, and gallon will last years compared to that stuff. Just remember do not leave it on very long, and I mean minutes is too long. You get yourself a two gallon or one gallon pump sprayer like for weeds or bugs, mix it with warm water shake it up good. Then put it on the mist setting, spray it on your aluminum, and watch it turn from grungy to white before your eyes.. Then rinse it off after you've used a mop glove with a good rubber glove inside it to protect your skin. Then tell Neighbor Kid to bring the polishing equipment, because you're done with the hard work for him. It's seriously that easy, just remember rinse it off as soon as possible, wear good long rubber gloves like your wife does for cleaning the oven out, and then pour anything left over into a blech jug or something similar, and the rinse the sprayer out throughly, or it'll eat the seals out of your sprayer.

Tim - that's really good advice, brother! I love how you figured out that one product made for a purpose entirely unrelated to the task at hand is not only less expensive than something off the shelf, but also more effective - how'd you do that? Something you just stumbled on? Anyway, thanks for the tutorial. Now if I only had anything that was worth shining up... haha
Friday night. I’m sick and tired of doing bodywork. Came home and stoked up the wood stove and a new 2stroker video pops up. Day complete.
Glad to see you giving the bulldog some fixing up Wayne. Awesome work

Awesome video Wayne👍👍👍
Maybe some tires, paint on the frame and a straight pipe and she will be looking good. Nice work wayno
The Mack needs dual straight pipes.glad to see that you saved it
I like what you did with that little Mack, bloody awesome job Wayne.
looking good those old mack were always a nice looking truck when there cleaned up
Sharp little Mack, Wayne. The cleaning made a big difference. Thanks for the videos.
That is a nice looking old truck.
Great video Wayne really enjoyed your video on the Mack. It cleared up very nice. Painting the wheels looks good too. Nice pad infront of the shop Wayne 👌.
Steering wheel looks like it’s seven feet in diameter 3:25 😂
That Mack is a sweetheart! Cleaned up nice 👌🏻🤘🏻
Thanks for the show Wayne 🍻 🇦🇺
That's sick, what a sweet little truck. I remember as a kid, when we were truck-spotting, we weren't all that excited about Macks, Freightshakers, Astros, etc. They were pretty commonplace, we were fired up to see Petes, KWs, Western Stars, Marmons and the like. Now what I wouldn't do to find some of those old beauties that I took for granted back then!
You have been really killing it on these videos lately good job 👍🇺🇸

Hey Wayne, you should get some gloss white MRO paint and hit that aluminum frame. That truck would look pristine with a clean white frame. Use MRO though. That paint is awesome
Literally never get enough of the videos keep em coming working on junk! Excellent stuff!
Nice work.

i sell the hell out of that aluminum brightener at work great stuff
Looks awesome Wayne ! You’re doing a great job this truck is solid and what you have done should help someone be inspired to buy her and continue the tidy up . Wish there was more like you to keep old gear working and not turned into scrap . Good on you . And Fantastic job on the concrete , your concrete trucks are way different from what we have here in New Zealand and Australia , the bowl and chute are the other way around - at the back . Your way works better but the truck is more of a custom built . We used regular trucks , Mack’s Sterling, Ford 6 wheeler or 8 wheeler twin steer . Cheers from New Zealand

It's always so interesting to me to see the different style trucks other countries come up with. I appreciate the kudos on the mack it cleaned up well and I really think it'll make someone a nice truck
Good job giving the Mack a bath, plus using the aluminum brightener. I'd have painted those outside duals a red color, along with the frame rails. To me white looks wimpy . Truck is very similar to a local truck in Ravenna, Ohio, his has a 10 speed . It also came from Ca.
@Ol2Stroker

I like the white it goes with the paint scheme. Looks clean I think. But more to the point .. it is wimpy its 4 cycle. 🤣🤣
Thanks Wayne
sweet truck
This truck is from a little after that era, but I love that Seafoam Green on them old trucks!!!
I love the truck
Truck looks good buddy hope you an family have. A great halloween love your videos wayne
Old Emeryvilles had the up pull to lock the door. As harvester pickup trucks did the same. Can`t lock yourself out with out the key.

I know it and I'm not happy about it either
I used to use "eagle 1"for aluminum...it worked a treat (just had to be careful- it would burn your hands). Problem was they discontinued it (the good stuff anyway). Anyways, my pop heard me bitching and moaning about not being able to get it anymore (he was a chemist for dupont for 30+ yrs). He said it was probably phosphoric acid. I got a gallon of generic phos. acid somewhere (I think maybe home dumpo) added some water to it and it worked great (and was wayyy cheaper) . So I dunno if you use enough of that napa stuff to where the price becomes an issue....but you can substitute some no-name phosphoric acid and get pretty much the same results. Just dont use any of that stuff on polished alum. cause it'll turn the aluminum white and foggy
Can't you use your Brockway for some reference for the mack?
Where was that mack from originally?
Is the concrete slab new? If so that is awesome

Oh man that would suck!!
I'm no truck driver but I saw something unusual . Does the Mack have an unusual transmission that it has to be double clutched to shift instead of the normal way you drive any other of your truck . Just curious ... Ole boy installing the rear window must not know the string trick to install the glass into the seal ??? Install the seal and run greased nylon string into the seal . Push the glass against the seal and start pulling the string around the glass and the seal will lip over the glass .
