Hi Chris!
You have proven time and again you are a Frame Whisperer! We all enjoy the frame content. Hats off to your skills and work ethic.
If anyone needs a vacation it’s you Ben. I’m constantly amazed at how hard you work to get a project as good or better than new. Have fun.

Absolutely get yourself a frame machine. That'll be the day brother! After watching the video, don't beat yourself up dude. Your skills at that QP repair are something else. Every time you do something, you learn something new that will help you down the road. Keep it up man.
Yes get the frame tool It will come in handy to straighten frames out
Replacing that quarter panel was the only real fix for that panel. Good effort trying to pound it out though.

that's how they did it back in the day before body panels were so readily available. Pound it out and fill it. But that's back when bodies were made of 1/16" thick steel not tinfoil lol....

It was a valiant effort Ben. I’m still learning things at 70 years old in the trades. Learning and helping others is definitely a great feeling. You’re doing a great job. Thanks for the content. I always look forward to watching your videos.
Personally, I think you did an outstanding job on that rear quarter. Know you learned something from the attempt, and that my friend is most important. I applaud you for making arrangements to replace that quarter. You won’t be sorry, we are fortunate enough to see a quarter replaced using new technology. We’ll all be smarter. Your attempt to repair the quarter with nothing short of genius.
You made a noble effort and almost got it. If anything it made your skills just that much better. Everything in life is a learning experience.
Ben, When you are working with love and passion, it truly shows. It's like watching an artist. Very therapeutic and calming. Yes! On the frame machine, love watching you (and Uri) work that.
Love love love watching vtune work! I’d slap on some metal to metal body filler in and keep the original quarter but that’s just me!
A man with morals, Ben you actually care about your skill and the amount of time you put into a job, you know when you sell it you are guilt clear that its not a botch job. Well done
Love your videos my man. You make fixing these cars super freaking easy. Great work!
Ben already has the spotter tool and the basic sheet metalworking skills, with a bit more time/practice he could've salvaged that quarter panel. Matching that Matte White actually is pretty simple. Most important part is obviously getting the white undertone as close as possible. Then you just use the clearcoat that you would normally use and add a matting agent. I was nervous first time I did it but then quickly realized that you can't really mess it up unless you sag or run the clear. Also some suggested repainting the whole car a different color... That would be a TON of work to do it right, because then you'd have to paint the insides of the doors, underside of trunk lid, underside of the hood and also get the door jams, trunk area and engine bay repainted (last one would require engine to be pulled). Much easier and cheaper to just color match the replacement panel... P.S. that spotter tool is a must for sheet metal work the only downside is it is pretty expensive... However, just about anyone can easily build one out of some microwave transformers. I built mine few years ago for dirt cheap. I did a very detailed video on that build on my channel. If anyone is interested check it out and build yourself one, you'll be glad you did 😉

Hey, in your spotter build video you got everything wired up to 110V… in my country, we only run 220V what would I need to do differently to make it work?
@fix206
5 ай бұрын
@@bluehatch11 The voltage is 120 because the microwaves were on 120 and that makes the transformers requiring 120. However if you are using 220 in your country then build the tool the same exact way as I showed it and run it on 220... Good luck !

No Bullshit, just work being done. One man show, way to go!.
I find the work done with the frame machine is very interesting and may be good content for this already great channel
Make sure to hang up this quarter panel on your shop wall (next to the BMW sign!) as a trophy, and as a reminder of what you’re capable of. Nice work Ben!
I love it when to us regular Johns panels can look totally trashed but you always say "it's not looking too bad!" definitely get yourself a frame puller 💪🏻
I think you do an excellent job on the frame machine. I enjoy watching your transformations. I wish I had that skill.
I love watching you spin your magic. Officially legit. Awesome work man
Definitely get a frame machine. I really enjoy watching you do frame work. You are the master.
Apart from the time, you had a lot of practice pulling the panel and really tested your skill. Some times you succeed, and sometimes you don't. At least there is an option of panel replacement.
When you're doing this kind of work it's just magical to watch.
You did a good job 👍, I'm happy to see, you know when to go another direction to perfection 🎉🎉😊😊
Ben you are a true craftsman, most people would have bought a new panel but you done another amazing job with that one
Absolutely purchase a frame machine, those videos are my favorite. Furthermore, you have some mad skills with the frame machine.
I seriously enjoy your frame work, getting a frame machine would open a lot of possibilities up on builds from classic to domestic and exotic
I see, I click, I like! Keep it up! ❤
Definitely enjoy watching any content you produce involving frame machines. Would be great if you got one.
Loving this restoration. Certainly not a waste of time or failure if you’ve been testing your skills.
Your a perfectionist. That quarter panel is on 97% ok
Loved todays video!! You learn something every time you try something!! Have a great vaction
It was a valient effort, and it is so nice to see someone taking a good shot at it, and then deciding to change course. That's life, right? Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos too! Great watch! I'm excited to see what else you have to be working on!

Yes. get a frame machine. Your metalskills are magic 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Definitely get the frame machine, and a 2024 bmw deserves a new quarter panel ,but u did a good job if straightening it out, thank u from nyc
DEFINITELY GET A FRAME MACHINE . THATS YOUR THING. love the show .keep up the good work.
Ben, so amazing how close you got on the quarter panel. But you are correct, the best fix is going to be to replace. You deserve some time off after all of your hard work, enjoy your time off in Florida.👍🏼
Nice to see Ben doning his stuff, it looks so easy 😊 👍
That cut on your hand, my G. I feel it. Man everything takes sacrifice. I try my best to stay injury free everyday day. You truly inspire me to step up my game. 🍻

Straight to the point. 👍🏾🔥🔥
Good call on replacing the qtr panel.
Definitely get a frame machine, absolute magic to watch you work with one
I really like your frame job videos!
You did a great job, I think that panel was beyond repair and you still managed to get it close to a point where many would just filler up those areas. Good luck!

Forgive me for I'm not a car body repairman...and I can see what you mean with just using filler. So I'm just wondering how about just taking sheet metal stock and being able to graft it in. Is that just too much of a hit or miss art form to recreate the lines of that outer wheel well meeting the taillight and bumper?
@AlfisGarage

@@ouch74 as you say, it is more of an art. It is doable, but not worth the time it would take. Easier to get a replacement panel that will fit 100%

Get the frame! You are the master of frame machine
It looks great dude ... good job so far!! You shouldn't feel bad about it at all!! Have fun on vacation!
You have a remarkable skill set Chris. So much patience. That BMW is gonna be a beautiful ride ❤ Nothing is a failure where you learn from it. Fist bump 👊🏻
Nice, great work BMW looks good, minor hiccups, part of territory.just keep doing what you do best 😎😎😎👍👍👍
When I saw you start on that quarter panel I thought there’s no way you’re getting that straight but you really did show your skill set as close as you got it. I think this car is one of your toughest yet
Yes definatley get yourself a frame machine , in your early video's you did some rally amazing work with the one you had at your dads place , blew me away sometimes what was possible .
The fact that you almost fixed that mess up quarter panel, I was super impressed. Is it like fixing a crushed down can of soda. You are a beast 💪.
Ben you made the right choice on the quarter panel. A frame machine would be a big help to you and make you some money!
Good job bro slowly getting there
Interesting and informative as usual...

Amazing job and a good decision to change the quarter panel
Amazing progress on
This video was among your best, Ben....especially since ALL your videos are great. Skill and perseverance thy name is Ben. That said, I wouldn't count on that qtr panel arriving soon. If it's coming on a container ship, it has to travel through the Middle East....a real trouble spot right now. Enjoy your vaca!
If you're able to get a frame machine it would be fantastic, you're definitely the King of KZread framework with your skills and have save enough other youtubers projects !! Thats what initally amazed me with your channel 👍
Really awesome to see you have skills for panel beating/ forming. It’s such a rare thing in todays world. Most guys are just new panel fitter.
There's no fail when you gain experience. New quarter panel is definitely the way to go for this one, I'm sure you'll make this thing look amazing when it's done!
Hands down you are a FRAME / STRUCTRE GOD 🤘💯 you dont fix them you call the into place Biggets salute once again Ben Also every single drop of blood and sweat will pay Keep your good work going Huge respects from this side ❤🇬🇭

Nothing wrong with wanting to test your skills. Great video.
Long time fan.. get one sir.. you deserve it
you telling yourself not to butcher the car and get a new quarter panel shows your skills and integrity to your overall work performance, greatly impressed.
Gotta get the frame machine your really good at it
It was super interesting to watch you try to fix the dented quarter, but I also think the more practice you get it’s never a failure it’s building a skill And I think as well you need to get yourself a frame machine!

A big yes on a frame puller machine 😊

Amen. I'm new to Candyman's channel but the stuff I have seen by him was amazing! Ben made a good choice going with him.
Totally agree. You should get a frame machine for your shop.
Would like to see a frame machine Ben, You are yet again putting 100 % effort in keep up the good work all the best from the UK..👍
Ben, I'm in the camp that you should keep working at that quarter, between welding, dentfix and patience with test fitting, you will get it. I understand the new metal would have obvious benefits, but this is the type of repair that sets you apart, you can do it, you are 90% there!
tnx for the video
