It was almost 25 minutes... and it wasn't very exciting for anyone who've worked on an old car before. This would've been less than 5 minutes in a Wheeler Dealers episode, and rightfully so.

I know you won’t see this Edd but I just had to write this so people realise that quality educational content reaches people and focuses the mind. My Dad was an amateur mechanic all his life especially in the 70’s when cars were bad and money was tight. He and I used to watch Wheeler Dealers all the time when you were on it Edd. He used to say to me “that big man’s a genius!” He’s 89 now and has dementia but if I say to him remember Dad when we used to watch Wheeler Dealers On the TV? I swear to God he still remembers and says that big man’s a genius with a wry smile on his face that say’s I’ve been there and suffered on the footpath with my tool bag!

When you watch Ed work and are working on the same type of vehicle, you can be confident that you can do the job because you just watched it being done in real time. All the other shows at best will TELL you to be careful of a part or trick on how to do it but Ed shows you exactly how to do it. Edd’s such a professional. When I am working on electrics under the dash I am usually swearing like a sailor.

I love the difference shown between the changing of the light switch, something anyone might do own in their own garage and the high tech work on the electric ice cream truck.

Now I have the right line to answer my wife's question about why I'm taking so long restoring my family's YJ lights system ... "It's simple, but not easy". Thanks Ed! Btw, if you want a hand with Spanish subtitles, I can lend a ✋!

It's brilliant to get a look over the shoulder all the way through a procedure like fixing the connections on the back of that switch and see all the tiny details included. It's far more realistic than the rushed glossing over required by the Wheeler Dealers format. It's dead interesting to watch how a ninja mechanic solves all these little micro-issues that WD just wouldn't have had time for. Great stuff, Edd.

Considering that you don't have a complete crew, the resulting audio and video quality is really good. I'm enjoying your videos. Also, really glad that you have the time needed to show what you are doing in detail. Really happy how the adventure is turned out.

Fascinating learning from Edd. I’m actually very unlikely to work on a car again myself as age and lack of flexibility have caught up with me but just watching is enough !
