Fixing the Blaster's bent frame

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is not going to be my permanent repair. I am looking for a new frame for the blaster, but until then this is way stronger than it left the factory. Today we cut out the bent section of bar, pushed the frame back straight and welded in new steel. A huge thanks to chris for taking the time tonight to weld it up for me. If you dont follow him check our carters garage.

Buy an oem petcock, tried buying an eBay one and had air leaks and wasn’t worth the headache. That’s good that you reinforced that part of the frame. The weak spot moved somewhere else now though.

Those areas are prone to fold. Gusset that area with round bar gussets over winter. Im doing an 02 frame up because i had too many spares left over from parting them. I dont even like blasters anymore lol

I had an 83 xr500r back in the day that I had to do an almost exact repair just above the front sprocket after a spiral fracture of the frame. 👍

G'day Kevin from Australia. Great video. That's one hell of a fix. Better than a new one. You should put a people bar ( I mean bull bar 🐂 ) across the front . ✌
