Yeah, some of whatever he used to make it seem more dirty wasn't even completely dry yet. @B P16 I was thinking the same thing. They just happened to find a ugly looking drill amongst the trash of a shed. Notice how the Cord was wrapped around the drill, if it didn't work and really was broken why is there a need to wrap the cord around the drill and then throw it in a pile of trash. It would have been more better if they asked for viewers to send in things to restore

When I saw you cutting those coils, I was thinking as my heart was feeling ready to explode and my my mind was also to have a complete melt down. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!" And I saw that you replaced that paper with new paper and I saw the new coils being wound. And it was at that moment that I realized that you didn't F up. But you were making it better than what it originally was. And I decided to take my chill pill and watch the rest of the video. Outside of that, I am quite pleased with your restoration. I guess you didn't like that original teal color so, you went with the Dewaltt Color Scheme (Black and Yellow) and yeah. Also... What the F, was that drill caked in? And what was the story with how it wound up how it did before you got it? Either way, you breathed complete new life into it. Heck, I would love to see you pull a WW-II submarine up off the bottom of the ocean and get that thing back up and operational and looking nice.
@smjerbetsk

No he utterly fucked a perfectly fine drill up. You can see when he opens it, its like new. Just dirty. He fucked up every aspect of that drill. He probably put in shitty bearings, crappy grease, dodgy unreliable wiring, he polished the chuck ITS SUPPOSED TO BE GRIPPY GENIOUS, and god knows how horrible the strength is after he eyeballed the windings that he broke and had to replace (but given he is drilling manufactured wood with it, its probably weak as hell)

Oh look, 2 empty Seven Up bottles, best have a look under them (as you do) "wow,a gunged up drill, ideal item for a restoration video. My luck continues, even though externally drill is covered in what looks like resin. Even all over cooling vents, it must have dried instantly. As inside of drill is near spotless" Moral of story, Never ignore seemingly abandoned Seven Up bottles, who knows what treasures lurk beneath. I myself spotted a mound of Seven Up bottles, seemingly been there for years. But knowing what I do through the unfortunately named Mr Tool. I cleared bottles, underneath was a 1985 Delorean. What a find!. Okay, only slightly less plausible than the drill video.

Thank god I'm not the only one who thought this. Still looks pretty clean inside, compared to a lot of other resto-vids.

And the Makita turned into De Walt 😁, can’t be better than that .
Great job, I’d rather have this one than a brand new one off the production line!
After the core "rewinding" the "done" shot looks like the original before. A lot of reverse aging here.
Beautiful attention to detail! I love it.
GREAT JOB!!!!! nice Drill Machine restoration!!!!.
I use to enjoy this videos now I believe before restoring they owner actually make the product look ten times diertier than then restore it, and here I am watching.

An excellent restoration. Nice paint color too... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
There's just something very relaxing about silent resteration videos👍👍☺
I shuddered when he cut the copper, mad respect that you rewound the whole thing. Never see that in other videos

The copper looked good---Why cut it? Why cut the power cord? I have cleaned them off fine. Why not buff the outside, instead of painting it? A lot of unnecessary work, IMHO.
Good job bhai... Sare angrezo ko preshan kr dia aap ne...
Incredible transformation! I couldn’t believe when you re-wound the stator!

Gran trabajo!!! Felicidades👍👍
Hi, not many people have this skill nor interest, you take pride in your work and the finish product is outstanding, excellent quality video ty so much, regards, Bob,
Makita debranded into dewalt lol. Nice restoration work. 😊
Bravo ! Respect for your patience...
Very interesting to see the motor rewinding. There are lots of Tool restorations on KZread, but this is the first I've seen that includes motor rewind. Not a fan of the "transition" from makita to dewalt!
Good job, I have never seen any Indian doing such nice work. Thumbs-up
Lots of criticism in these comments suggesting he fouled the drill just to make a video. I don’t care if he did or didn’t. I have a similar drill, (not Makita) that if I ever want to refurbish it I now have a reference to help me. I’m not an expert, just a Joe Sixpack who likes tools. Thanks Mr. Tool!
Thak you Mr.Tool
Never thought in my wildest dreams that a drill in that kind of condition could be fixed. You are the best!!👍

Very nice ideal work👍
It's excellent work, perfect restoration
Nice quality drill - well worth the repair
Oh come on now. That was obviously fiberglass resin. If like to know what was in that hot water or if not water would really release that schmoo like that. I was impressed that he rewound the stater.

Looks like wax to me. Wax would melt in the hot water. Why is there wax on it? Maybe because this is a staged restoration. The worse off it looks, the more people will... "Like".... I'm no electrician, but I bet there was nothing wrong with that drill. My drill broke, I threw it out and got another. Problem solved.

what a new one! I even spilled glue on it.
Congratulations on your work! You also did a new motor winding

Well done colleague.
The patience of this man
Its surprising to see that the inner parts are still in very good condition... which seems impossible when looking at the outer condition of the drill.... :-O
the insides are real clean man
This is the Primitive Teknology vs Primitive Technology channel of the restoration community
Even new coils. Nice work.
Wow 🤩 a new Drill machine Fantastic
You are a magician From india
This channel was better when it restored actual old items... this one is staged as the inner parts are completely clean even the screws... mr tool do not loose your credibility dont follow fake channels you are an incredible person
Straight up poured caramel and chocolate sauce on it. 😂
Good Restoration Mr Tool
Increíble como quedó!

The way the world's going, we'll all be doing this in a few months.

Great job 👍
And this folks, it's how you make a Dewalt from a Makita
@aliasid6914

Yeah. I noticed that too. Inside of the drill is spotless, unlike the drill I found, which had all sorts of dust, rust and spider webs.
Amazing job buddy!!!
You win. Nice color👏👏👏🍀
Really nice job, kind of weird the DeWalt color choice but is not less impressive because of that
Made that drill his own. I like it
