Your bathroom looks great. I want to update our bathroom vanity. The paint is cracking and falling off. It needs to be repainted. What do I use to get the existing paint off? What do I use to paint it white again? The vanity was here when we moved in 17 years ago. I'm thinking that once the old paint is taken off and repainted inside and out, it will look much better. The bottom part has 2 sets of doors and no shelves. It flooded due to problems with pipes, so it's really bad. I want to replace it but my husband says no. Any suggestions? Thanks

You did a super job. Explained every step well. Since you asked, I would add a curtain valance on the window and a print shower curtain to warm up the space. The flooring and the grey wall worked perfectly! I would have used grey towels to keep the theme. Adding hardware really made your efforts pop. Liz, you are a delight to watch. As genuine as the day is long. Much respect.

Liz, why did you make the baseboard that yellowy color instead of keeping the woodwork all the same? The whole bath turned out great. Love watching the things you find and do.

It's actually better to start with a brush and do the edges, being sure to feather the paint, then you use a roller to do the inner or larger spaces. This produces a more professional looking paint job.

We are just finishing a complete redo of one our bathrooms. We also had the honey oak cabinet, but we went a different route. After peeping the wood I did 2 coats of rich mahogany and over it one coat of espresso (gel stains) the 3 coats of poly. The faucet, handles, toilet handle, towel holders and tp/wipes holder all went oil rubbed bronze. The walls we did a coat of plaster over to give them a different texture and cover old holes then painted a light tan. Accessories like towels, rugs, wall decor are light green. Since we live in a log house it seemed that darker cabinetry and hardware fit better than white - which I was kind of sad about because I love white cabinetry!

Love the way it turned out! I would have spray painted the shower curtain rod gold and also the towel hook to match the other fixtures. Love the pictures. Job well done!!!

I agree to spray paint the shower curtain rod but get a colorful shower curtain, then pick one of those colors for the towels.

The bath makeover turned out great. It looks clean and modern and very attractive.

B is my favorite of the two

such a great job and realistic budget.

It looks great. We have used the laminate flooring before, but we spaced them apart and grouted like you would with tile, and everyone thought it was real marble. Touching to check it. Just an idea.

Paint colour A is so similar to ours!! I love both colours for a bright MAKEOVER

I'm currently looking for vinyl for my bathroom window as I have neighbors that have windows that face my bathroom. I see what you used but from the outside looking in, is it truly giving privacy or can you see clearly a person in the bathroom. Especially at night when you turn on the light in the bathroom but it's dark outside 🤔

Beautiful makeover. I like the towel hooks much better than a towel rod. Painting the picture frames was a good choice as the antique prints stand out more. The only thing I would have done differently is the shower curtain. Being claustrophobic I'd need a curtain with a mesh top. 😊

I love it! The only thing I would add is that I'd love to see your tips and tricks for redoing a bathroom or any room for that matter when your renter and not allowed to change too much or too many things. So rent a friendly Home Makeovers would be awesome to see
