It's so disgusting that this happens to such expensive cars! My 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo has 5,000 miles on it it has been garaged in perfect weather in Southern California the entire time. I tried multiple things and nothing worked, even special things I sent away for. Then I thought to try Goo Gone. It worked! I can't even begin to imagine taking a car apart. An absurd amount of work! And then having to paint it afterwards ? No way! Even though Goo Gone says it is not to be used on leather, it got on my red interior leather and did not hurt it at all! I just softened the area and then kind of scraped with my finger nails and other objects. I had to do it multiple times, about three but then the stickiness was gone and it was flat black with no need for painting! The only caution I would give you is to never rub towards your leather if your leather is any color other than black because you could transfer the interior black onto a lighter color. You could take it off or even possibly saturate your leather with leather cleaner so that it can't absorb anything from the goo gone. As I said, the goo gone did not affect my red leather. Good luck to all of you and ridiculous that we should have to deal with this!

I cleaned mine with goo gone without having to remove anything on a quattroporte. Took me a while, but once soaked the sticky residue came off using a spatula to scrap it off.

Thanks. I used SEM 15243, it's a perfect match. You don't have to repaint the buttons with text, just use ammonia to remove that layer of sticky stuff and the letters will remain in place. Don't use alcohol on the buttons with lettering as you will rub it off.

@@LimitedEditionMotorcarsYeah, I learned that the hard way on my Jaguar F-Type last week. Now I'm looking for ways to replace the buttons without have to buy new expensive switchpacks from Jaguar. Mine was a Florida car originally, also. I think some of my buttons and trim are too far gone to save. The trim is no problem, just remove it from the car, strip it, repaint and reinstall. The buttons are more challenging to find replacements for.

Hi, I just bought myself a GranTurismo S with... sticky buttons everywhere. People told me it's easy to fix... It's been like... 3 hours I try to take off the plastic bar of the dash, between the screen and central vents... It seems it's stick with glue, that's impossible to take off. Also, I tried the same on doors panel, as these are sticky too. Impossible to take off... I sincerely don't know what to do, except paying a detailing service to do it

The surround around the screen is bolted on. You have to remove center console/shifter trim to access the bolts.

I used alcohol on a paper towel and the gunk melted off and did not damage anything. Be careful as I was very careful not to get the alcohol on the wood. While it worked for me, I can't guarantee what happens for you so do so at your own risk.

Such a nonsense to call it a problem of a spaghetti car. It is a common problem of rhat era across brands. Same issue with Mercedes, Jaguar (F Type, XJ etc.), for instance.
