For real. Him and Daenerys are my favorite characters and they ruined them both.

Rhaegal's death happens with them up in the air and Dany just misses an entire fleet. "Dany just kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet" was their explanation.

My main problem with his death was his size. He grew way too big, way too fast. A bolt shouldn’t kill him, Meleys took a couple of bolts during the battle of Rooks rest and survived until her 2v1 fight. While a young dragon like Stormcloud took one through his neck and died from his wounds. Book Rhaegal might die during a naval battle similar to Stormcloud or Vermax but I doubt it’ll be an ambush. Dany might engage in battle and lose Rhaegal at sea. Book Rhaegal is much smaller so it could make sense.

It's hard to decide what's worse, that or Drogon burning the throne and flying off with Dany's body.

@@joshuaadams6565 They made the dragons way too large. Rhaegal and Viserion were chained up in Mereen so their growth would've been way less than Drogon who was free.

Unless Daenerys actually kills the Night king then I don’t see her dying in the north on the tv show. I’d never call her the main character but she’s probably the most iconic character to come out of GOT. She’s been built up so much that it’s impossible to randomly kill her off without backlash. She’s the most protected person in the fight, if she dies then everyone should have died. I do think she’ll die up north in the book after going on a redemption arc for accidentally destroying Kingslanding. Yet I can’t see her dying without an explosive exit, an explosive exit that wasn’t really set up by the show. I can only see her dying after her Kingslanding arc has concluded and not before. George teased another dance of the dragons and I believe Daenerys will participate in that. Sorry if you have changed the plot lines around, I’ve only seen a few videos.

I agree that if Dany just died in the North and then we were to continue on with the clash for the throne that it wouldn't be good. That would be even more anticlimactic than the way they quickly dispatched the Night King. For me I think the final battle against the NK needed to be at King's Landing on the show. In the books I think it might be the Riverlands.
