Another way that you can clean the DPF if it's throwing a fit. Is the diesel particular filter is you just remove it from the truck? You tape off one end and then you feel it with engine cleaner that's designed to remove grease and carbon from your oven and you just let it sit overnight and then you rinse it out with a hose😅 it also same trick will generally work on most of your EGR components. You just have to be careful because some of them have plastic and that will disappear too

DPF ALTERNATIVES is a great company that cleans and services dpfs. If Max-mileage fuel borne catalyst is used...they extend warranty against failure

Low rpm and start to accelerate a little will clog it up fast. If you have no emission and do this you create smoke. With emissions toy get clogged fast. Best to drop a gear, but you can accel so the turbo can keep up. I call it rolling into the throttle.

Can you perform the DPF spray clean yourself or would you have to use a shop?

Looks like the JLM Adblue Plus is the only DEF additive out there to stop crystallization of the DEF fluid. Why has no one else in the USA marketed a product like this?

Does it get rid of the ash that's the question. Soot can be burned off with a regen, it's the ash that gets trapped in the filter.

The ash that remains after regen is very minimal and should not be enough to affect the system. If there is an excessive amount of ash in the system chances are the vehicle has been having frequent regens for a long period of time and the vehicle owner kept driving the vehicle without addressing the issue. If ash is at a level where it would cause a problem then the only way to clean it properly is to remove the DPF and have it back flushed.

One item that isn't really discussed is preventing soot formation to begin. Max-mileage fuel borne catalyst does this.

It’s a very detailed process that should only be done by a trained professional.

Guys watching this that own a diesel truck just for the sake of owning a diesel truck either need to buy a pre emissions truck or delete the truck because it you just drive it back and forth to work every day 20-30 minutes the truck doesnt ever get loaded which creates the heat needed to properly clean the filter if you only tow your boat once a year or whatever youre going to have serious issues with your EGR and DPF systems but having an intimate understanding of how they work ive had a class taught hy a former bosch engineer for 30 years he taught us very well on the science of whats actually happening in them so im very skeptical of this id say its probably a bandaid at best

Best way to clean dpf.... cut it off and bypass.
