I was in high school when those hit the market, by the end of a month every guy and not more than a few girls had one hanging on their belt. Oddly enough no teacher ever as far as I know ever made a comment about weapons in school. Of course it was a semi rural school, never saw one pulled in anger either. Great repair!

@@LozHarrop One of the joys of being a shade tree mechanic is stuff disappears 🤦‍♂️ lost mine about the same time you got yours! LOL And no I'm not blaming LOZ for it's loss, I have left knives screwdrivers.____,, across a dozen states and three foreign countries and one extraterrestrial space ship (I live in NM it was an emergency job)

I sent mine to the factory in California, fixed it, polished it and returned to me, no charge. It was close to 15 years old at the time

Great job, that characteristic "snick" of the lock engaging is excellent on the repair.

Nicely done and well worth doing. They're nice, dependable tools those Buck lockbacks - carried the smaller version for years until the law changed and got very attached to it.

Enjoy watching your videos. Good job on the Buck repair. Buck knives will fix their knives for free. They might even mail the part but you made short work out of it. I don't live too far from Buck knives.

Why not send it to Buck and have it repaired under their lifetime waranty?

  • @LozHarrop

because buck are made in usa or china depending on the knife which would mean maybe sending to the states or waiting while the uk supplier sends it away to be repaired it was easier for me to do the fix on it.
