Im doing something just like this for my 89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, those old halogens are so dim... and with my tint i cant see ANYTHING when i back up... usually is blasphomy to install lights on your wagoneer, at least according to the forums... but i dont care.. Its my Jeep not theirs. Btw never tell people to tie into the power on the reverse lights themselves.. the wiring on cars is made for that specific light or window motor ect.. It isnt made to handle additional loads. You need to run new lights into a relay/fuse and to the battery, only use the reverse light wiring to act as a trigger for the relay

More light is always a bonus. Tip: You could’ve turned the L brackets so the mounting fasteners would be under the LED lights, that would’ve been a much cleaner look.

These backup lights are awesome! They REALLY help at night and covered parking lots when backing up. I like the idea of flipping the L brackets. I plan on going to the Rubicon steel bumpers and will do that with those for that clean look. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was looking forward to seeing how to wire my backup lights, however this solution only works for Saharas and Rubicons with the Tow package. My JLU Sport does not have any 7-pin connector, or 4-pin connector from the factory.

You can use smaller single element lights (rock lights) and tap into the reverse lights harness. Check out JLforums lighting thread for diagrams and how to do it.
