I have an Okuma Stratus iv baitcasting reel that seems to have the same problem. Never thought to epoxy it... I'll have to watch a few more times to know what to try... thanks!

Ok I forgot to mention, score the inner surfaces with something to give the glue some grip. D

I super glued my brass piece to casing worked great.

I don’t see how long that will last Better off getting a upgraded replacement most manufacturers will send you the part for a small fee or just send it to you That’s been my case in the past

I think mine broke because of the grease i applied. I cleaned it up and it seems to be working fine now. Do you agree?

@@BuboyTheGreat As long as it is not separated. Dissolve grease with white spirit. Probably should be oiled. Grease is generally for slow moving sliding parts. Use a low residue synthetic reel oil.(Penn gtx40).
