Fix leaking dripping taps - Plumbers DONT want you to know !!!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is three most common causes for leaking and dripping taps and how to fix them DIY. I will show you what plumbers don't want you to know and save you thousands of dollars. Leaking drippings taps are due to the washers having a poor seal. this can be due to bad washers that need to be replaced or a worn out tap seat. The washer is simple to replace and i will show you step by step how to do it. The tap seat can either be restored with a resurfacing tool or you may need to replace the tap seat. Don't pay a plumber to remove your bathroom tiles and replace the tap assembly. There is a much easier and cheaper way to do it yourself for around $45. @billshowto Hey Bill I reseated my tap seats for the shower in my bathroom with the reseating tool. One of them (cold tap) had noticeable damage/crack (about a quarter of a millimetre). I eventually stopped because I was hesitant to shave any more copper off. I flushed everything and reattached everything. When I turned on the shower, 3 noticeable changes: - The shower head pressure was much weaker (I changed to another shower head and the pressure was still low). - And when turning the cold tap slightly after the hot water, it would get cold quickly. - Leak has significantly stopped. Are there any explanations and fixes for this? Logically, I thought I did everything right. I'm feeling defeated at the moment. 😭
