Fix Dog Separation Anxiety | Dog Nation Episode 7 - Part 2

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In part 2 of this episode, Andre and I travel to Philadelphia to help a family who is struggling with their dog, Rascal's separation anxiety. I help them take Rascal on a walk and lead with a calm energy. I teach where to put the leash and the best way to walk your dog! It is important to remember the importance of being the pack leader in our relationships with our dogs.

I just wanna take a minute today to thank Cesar and the entire crew that make his series of shows possible. Not blowing sunshine when I say these videos have had a serious impact on my life and my dogs lives. I’m happy to be taking training from you in an attempt to habilitate my babies. Keep them coming Cesar. You’re changing the world one dog at a time and I love you for it.

This couple are so in tune with each other. It makes me so happy to see how considerate they are of each other, and how they enjoy each other's company. And now Rascal is fitting in perfectly.

What some people don’t realise is putting human emotions onto dogs is in fact cruel.. and feeling sorry for dogs especially in cases like this when a dog is excited and stressed is bad.. for EVERYONE.. Cesar’s way is good for everyone including the dogs.. I am always calm now and my dogs are prefect.. because of Cesar’s way of being with dogs..

Hi Cesar. I just wanted to say today has been incredibly difficult for me and my family, my beautiful best friend Zoey the German shepherd super dog of 14 years crossed over to the other side. She went peacefully in my arms with family around. I raised zoey using the Cesar Milan method and we bonded from the very beginning. I regularly receive compliments on her tempement and amazing demeaner. I just want to say thank you for guiding us as dog and human to become relaxed and confident pack leaders. Sending love from me and Zoe (RIP).

That’s the problem with dogs, we loose them.. At the moment I have a geriatric dog who is EXTREMELY OLD for her breed.. they usually don’t last much past 8 or 9.. because they are massive.. and my old girl is MUCH older and I bred her and was the one who rubbed her down after the cesarean.. and she is my heart.. the smartest dog I have ever had.. and we are together 24/7.. but I know she hasn’t got long.. and the ONE thing I want is for her to die in her sleep but I won’t be so lucky. It’s the most awful heartbreaking thing but I made a huge mistake with her great great grandmother when I would worry everyday about her dying.. I wasted so much time worrying about it when I should have been enjoying her life and not fixating on her passing.. which is what I do now with my old girl. I know she will pass but I cherish the time and when she goes I will remember the love and remember her with joy, laughter and love.. because that’s life.. and before long it will be my turn.. My heart goes out to you because the love we have for our dogs is special.. but I hope very soon your heart doesn’t hurt so much and the love you have is what’s left.. big hugs.. ❤❤❤

Great video! Another effective technique for managing separation anxiety in dogs is to create a consistent pre-departure routine. By repeating the same steps every time you leave, such as giving a specific toy or treat, your dog can learn to associate these actions with a calm departure. This predictability can help reduce anxiety over time.

The prolem is always the same, and that is that people think dogs are humans and treat them in the same way, and that is the big error. When you understand a dog is a dog and that it has its own behaviour and state of mind, most problems will dessapear. A dog feels better when it has a leader that guodes it and tells him what to do, and that is possible when you really become the leader. Its simple, but not easy

please i need help!! i have a 4 year old Boston Terrier named Cooper. he is a very sweet and outgoing dog and is normally very friendly to people and other dogs. However, at time to time, he does get riled up and nervous when my other two dogs get too close to him all of a sudden. his hair on his back stand up and steps/leans back so he’s not to close to him. he likes his personal space and when one of the dogs jumps on him he barks aggressively. at some cases he does get physically aggressive. i’m not sure if he has an anxiety, physical or behavioral issue. i personally think it’s anxiety because he’s normally a very sweet dog but he just has his moments. please help.

I have a small dog daycare and boarding business. Most of our clients are dogs like Rascal. Their owners can travel in peace while their fur babies stay with us. Consider boarding your dog. It might be cheaper than the mental health work that is required to control your anxiety that is fueling your dog's behavior.

Think of how you feel when you're sick. The dog is obviously carsick. It's dizzy. As a person who goes through this, I can say you're a horrible, selfish owner forcing an animal to travel with you when they're dizzy and vomiting. LEAVE THE DOG HOME. Don't force anyone to travel when they're in distress. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out

This is why I would NEVER adopt a dog out of the shelter. They are in there for a reason. Anyone that has a very well mannered dog doesn’t turn them into the shelter. And not everybody in the world lives in California and not everybody in the world can’t afford someone like Cesar Millan to fix somebody else’s problems. Best to get a dog from a rescue where the dogs live in peoples homes and are better adjusted
