$160, 6 hours downloading, 3 hours troubleshooting and i cant even launch the game! it says its running on steam, 5 seconds later it stops and nothing happens. what am i supposed to do?

I’ve crashed 4 times in about 12 ground war matches. On steam. Takes forever to restart the game.

I have tried everything in this video, I looked through the comment and couldn't find other fixes other users tried like profiles and such in the documents. I have been spending at least 3 hours now to figure out how to fix this. It ridiculous I am paying 150$ for a mw2 update pretty much just to not work... I refunded it once already due to game not even working, and I decided to give them another chance, but no they just slap me and tell me to f*ck off. They need to find a fix asap if they want players to access and give reports on what needs to be fixed! We really need a solution. We appreciate your vidoes, Keep up the work!

I have just solved my issue. I had windows 11 installed on unsupported hardware. I tried since the beta started to play to no avail, I have just installed windows 10 and tried playing and it plays with no issue now.

I setup and ethernet connection yesterday and it all started there. This is the only game that wont start. I've tried everything in this video, alongside troubleshooting multiple times, turning off my firewall, everything I could think of. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Just in case this did not work for any of you make sure to uninstall ReWASD because I assume that Activision sees it as a cheat and that prevents the game from running. I did this and I was struggling with this issue for a while.

Somehow changing files and making it to think its validating worked for only launching the game. But when I do so, it gives me the HUENEME- NEGEV error. Perfect.

This guy is funny. He's making a fix tutorial of something he doesn't even have on his computer. What a legend. Anyway, nothing worked for me. I reinstalled twice, it starts but when i click on MW3 from the ingame menu it crashes and then wants me to start in safe mode and that doesnt work either. I'm giving up hope. Thanks.

I’ve got a question by typing 1 beside the call of duty folder and resetting all the game settings how do I know what settings are causing the crash?

for me on blizzard i click play then it just says launching and it does nothing afterwards

mines only crashes on opening the mw3 beta if it doesnt crash on that its fine....but it happens often

This video is legit. It worked without needing to reinstall but rather to validate

I just cant play cod. I tried all these fixes. About 30 other things too. Nothing works. I start up, I can watch the entire cutscenes in full, then it crashes on the first load, the part with retrieving data. If I skip the cutscenes it crashes in the same spot. The game is so fucking broken. Ill never buy another one, thats for sure.

The config file is not inside my "Players" folder... i want to try the mannually resolution to change. My game doesn't launch ever after the DirectX crash error.

Okay bois i have the driver updated but now on my ally it launches (doesn't load shaders than crashes when i try to play a game) any fixes? It keeps popping up with the verify files.

We have two identically same built PCs here. One of them runs the game without any crash issue and without this hocus-pocus. The other one is a nightmare. I always do the sfc /scannow that never found any corrupted file on the hard drive but the game always crashing. The only option is that the files basically corrupted in the pack that the Activision/Steam send us.

if my "documents" file are in OneDrive is it a problem? if it is, can i just cut and paste the folder in my C: memory?

yeah I've done all this, I was just playing this fine the other day before season 1 reloaded. Now it crashes about 20 seconds after game launches. No other game crashes.

Cant rename folded becuase it says the file is open somewhere...nothing is open, i restarted pc nothing launches on startup. Theres like something stuck open somewhere and i think thats where the curruption coming from

tried to make it run at high priority and followed the steps, but says it cant import i cant figure out how to change sp23 setting

nothing worked when i try to start the game on steam i wait for a few seconds then it turns off

I preordered the game but it says locked and preordered the game even though I already did what do i do

MW3 freezes so many times and says to verify integrity of game files on Steam..Sometimes I have to do it twice or 3 times for it to work...now before i play the game I always verify first

for some reason my settings document where deleted and it wont seem to come back cause the game wont open

I kept getting stuck on the loading screen but I renamed the call of duty folder and it reset the settings. Also have to install gpu new drivers

so if u mods running in the back that might b y js end task in task manger

I've done just about everything I could to fix this issue but nothing works. Game will start and load I get to the menu where it's "pre loading shaders" And everything gets super choppy and then the game just force closes itself. No other game does this, only mwIII. I previously played MWII and it ran perfectly fine.

When i rename the file it doesn’t say install it says play and i gotta download it all over again what do i do?

To anyone stuck on the "checking for update" screen, the only "immediate" fix I have found that genuinely works everytime is just waiting. It's taken between 5 and 10 minutes of waiting on the checking for update screen, then it will eventually say "update requires restart" and you should be good to go.

Or if it's PlayStation 4 you need to log out of the actual account you're playing on and relog back in sometimes for updates

Has any one run into this error? SERVER DISCONNECTED Connection to the Blizzard game server has been lost. Please exit and try again. Error Code: BLZBNTBGS000003F8 No matter how many times I've tried to QUIT TO DESKTOP or RESTART the game, I can't even make it to the Main Menu. The game keeps kicking me out due to server connection issues. I have a high speed internet at home, running the game on a high end PC, installed latest updates, and scanned & repaired thousands times but still I'm unable to play even a single game. Btw, I'm playing on Battlenet and the instructions in this video didn't work for me.

Make sure only those 3 lines of text are copied, with spaces in between. Nothing before, nothing after.

@@TroubleChute There is no profiles folder or file under that address. There's other game files in there but nothing of profiles.

Making a copy of all files, deleting the game and validating it caused my game not to launch at all. Now even reinstalling is not helping.

if this is 3 months old and they still haven't fixed the issue....wth... i also tried everything here. i'm still trying some suggestions in the comments. still working on transferring the files to another drive. we'll see if that works. I'll update. update: did not work. I also uninstalled and reinstalled-did not work

There seems to be no hope of ever running this game, I think at this point the only fix is a class act law suit bet they fix it in a day after that..

Also remember to check your RAM usage 8 gigs is not enough the game uses about 15 gigs of ram

What is that

FOR THOSE WHO STILL HAVE ISSUES: i found out that my startup crashes were caused because MW3 wouldn't accept the particular drive I had it on. I went to steam settings/storage, and moved it to a different drive and it worked. (the drive that had the issue was a 4tb inland M.2 and the drive that worked was a 2tb samsung.)

DO NOT do the thing where you rename the file in steam the original file doesn’t stay and you have to redownload the game

Just wait til you get stuck on initializing on 99%

ive tried scan and repair, uninstalling, updating my graphics card , going to properties and running administrator. nothing is working should of just bought it on my xbox ive never had a problem with it til 3 days ago this is crazy.

I Have found the solution. open the options.mw3 settings on players folder on documents. change Fulscreen to Windowed option. just search for it and your game will work now. remember to always set it to windowed mode each time you disconnect from the game

@@soapmactavishii4606 delete a pasta Call of duty na pasta Documentos do seu PC. e quando o MW3 abrir aperte ALT+Enter pra ele entrar em modo janela. isso vai corrigir o bug e fazer ele entrar

rien ne semble y faire de mon coté... j'ai vu que ce que j'ai est courant... c'est triste de voir des jeux avec un si gros budget sortir dans un tel état, j'ai plus qu'a attendre un patch officiel
