I have notices that auto setup most works well if you have high bandwidth. On low bandwidth it can't find an optimal setting therefore just defaults to using 100% for upload and download.

I’m at the mercy of my isp for this game. I either will have 15-17ms or 70+ ping. It’s gotten to the point I can tell who I’m playing with has the same isp. We all live in the same area, spectrum does fine. But Alta fiber does not lol. So frustrating because I can’t do a thing about it even with DumaOS

Would you recommend use QoS when i have 940 down and 35 up. its only three of us at home and the main use is netflix and maybe some YT in mobile devices.

Very interesting that upload should stay at 100%, which now makes me think that it's good against lag compensation that all the cod games have. Any other game you need to limit both down and upload. Btw the norm to limit your speed is almost always around 15% of your connection speed and adjust from there if needed. Oh and why did you leave the bandwidth allocation on 9 for everything on the graph?

These settings work for all the games I play. Everyone's bandwidth allocation wheel is a bit different. There's just no need to mess with the wheel.

Been having trouble for a about couple months now with my xr1000 when I try to run the connection benchmark and do a speed text . The speed test say the network connection incorrectly setup what exactly does that mean . My ping test is an A+

Has anyone have had the issue “device not found” in QOS. I got it as out a month ago and can’t seem to fix it. Rolled back firmware,factory reset, updated back to .134 and nothing. I’ve tried over 20 times. I can set traffic priorities

Do all these settings account for when multiple people in a house are playing multiple consoles? Sometimes we have an extra person, and it stops all internet on "regular" devices like tvs and laptops, and then I have to adjust the sliders again.

Ever had those kind of troubles with my xr500. Could be that your DNS is slow. That's one reason websites would be loading slow. Also never heard of any quality of service problems what exactly are your issues?

I have an XR1000 as well and never had issues with it. Have you made sure you're on the latest firmware?

Can I do this on coax not fiber 1000up /40 down ?

Make sure you're on the latest firmware. If not install the latest firmware at factory reset. Forum.netduma.com

1:42 see here u have 72 download buffer bloat without the congestion control but u managed to bring this all the way down to just 2 with all a plus ratings o.o

Currently as a grade c with low latency gaming (!) Game feels choppy and very input laggy, running gigabit internet! Is the only way to see better results is to purchase a router? If so can you recommend one plz:) keep up with the vids btw dude

I have swelling and my device is Netgear 1000😢

My mbps are over 900, yet I'm still struggling to get an A or A+ on my tests and I'm not even using any devices at the time. Even when i got an A, i get the ⚠️ sign on both sides of the latency gaming reading. Literally just finished a test, got a "C" and the low latency under ideal conditions has a checkmark now 🤷. Thoughts?

The ⚠️ isn't something that you should worry about as long as you're getting an A or A+ it'll be okay.

@@LowPingKing thank you, and what about finding that "A" set up, then the next day while having the same settings, the test gives a different score. Do we need to re adjust and test again each day before gaming sessions or leave as is?

@theoneders2056 it could fluctuate from day to day but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless your game and experience is awful. I've noticed the test site waveform isn't as consistent. Found it an alternative but still doing testing before I make a video.

@@LowPingKing awesome thanks. Yeah I don't experience awful gaming and it's mainly CODs shitty algorithm that penalizes you for having consisten good matches. Just wanting to see if I can squeeze even more performance out of my XR1000. Just turned off my QOS to try as well since I don't have a house full of bandwidth hoggers, and I went from having a D to having an A+ all across the board on my Connection Benchmark test in the DumaOS screen.

For Playstation 5 which traffic prioritisation you preffer?

@@Cobrinio I don't see any issue with that. Are you having any lag in the games you play? The only thing I might recommend is putting the upload side to 100%. Even if you do a test and it says there's buffer bloat on your line games have their own optimization that kicks in and adjusting the upload seems to mess with that.

@wdrozjr for just Madden something like the NetDuma R3 will help if your having a bad experience with lag. It's definitely geared more toward shooter games for those fast responses.

the end result is A but the last flag, low latency gaming, has the triangle. How can I fix?

That last rating box is based on your base ping. You cannot change that rating. Whatever your base ping is to your ISP will always be the same unless they do upgrades. At the end of the day that's the one thing and no one should worry about. My base paying to my ISP was in the 40ms range for years. So I could only ever get an A rating. Only in the last year have they finally upgraded. My base ping is now around 15ms or so. Now I get an A+

@@LowPingKing no I meant before u fixed it like 72 Ms buffer bloat is awful especially in terms of bullet hit reg like I normally get around 180 Ms download buffer bloat and I can't even kill a single person but I managed to bring it down to 25 using special software and it was still pretty bad so having it at zero is a must xD and it may have not been solid 72 but I saw it go up there when u didn't use congestion control I was half sleep tho it may have been another video I'll rewatch just to make sure

Not everyone can get A+ Just get the download and upload buffer bloat latency as low as possible.

Set congestion control to always and slowly adjust the download and upload. 70% is normally a good staring place Some buffer bloat latency won't matter. The most important feature that doesn't get enough attention is the geofilter. Making sure to find the lowest latency games for the games that you play. That'll make a bigger difference than messing with all the congestion control stuff.

You can keep adjusting lower and lower and maybe your connection will be able to reach an A. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as you're in game experience is running okay. Buffer bloat only becomes a factor when you're constantly downloading or uploading files. So if you're just playing games by yourself you don't have to worry about buffer bloat at all.
