Five ways to keep your camera gear safe and secure while traveling (January 2020)
Although I’ve mentioned a few of these things in some previous videos, I thought it would be a good idea to put them all into one short video. I shot this video while on a trip and in it I share with you some of the ways in which I try to mitigate possible disasters with camera gear such as theft, extreme water and dust, or loss or failure of storage media.

1) Mindshift Backlight Elite 45L backpack - specifically I am using the camera cube from that backpack but other companies also make camera cubes
2) Gregory Compass 40 - an inexpensive, inconspicuous backpack that can be used to carry the camera cube. Another bag that will hold that camera cube is the Peak Design Travel Backpack. I used to use that backpack but found it a bit too heavy and the material a bit too stiff.

I used to use a Think Tank rolling case. Now I just put my backpack or shoulder bag in an ordinary carry on roller suitcase. Works great. Completely protects my equipment. And it looks just like any other suitcase.
A couple of minutes into this vidoe, and I ordered a bike/ helmet/baggage lock from Amazon before watching the rest of it. Thanks.
Thanks man for the video I'm going to the world cup by land even though it's a safe country and allies with my country in the GCC I'm still worried because of the amount of foreigners.
Great suggestions Adrian. You are going to cost me some money as my list of stuff to purchase keeps increasing, bags to put my bags in - sounds like a George Carlin standup.
