Five Unusual Watches to Escape the Ordinary | Watchfinder & Co.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Watchmaking can be a little unadventurous at times, a little safe. Outside the realms of companies like MB&F and Urwerk, it's not often that a watch brand takes a risk with something unusual. Every now and then, however, something unexpected happens. Whether the accountant was off sick or simply wasn't paying attention, sometimes a designer gets something through the system that's a bit more interesting. Here are five examples.
Featured Watches:
Bell & Ross BR01-92 Horizon
Cartier Tank Basculante W1011358
Vacheron Constantin Complications Classique Saltarello Jump Hour 43040/000P-19
Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Snoopy Award 3578.51.00
Hublot Big Bang Dark Jeans 301.CI.2770.NR.JEANS

Watchfinder & Co. As an aviation and space buff, I love all of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatches. Especially the 45th anniversary edition of Apollo 13, also featuring Snoopy and with those 14 seconds of Lunar Module descent engine burn marked on the dial, with the words "What could you do in 14 seconds?" Very classy! I'd do almost anything (legal) to own one of those.

I'd kill for that Silver Snoopy Speedy! My grandad received a Silver Snoopy award in the 80's for his work on the Space Shuttle. I still have the certificate, unfortunately the lapel pin has been lost. I had never heard the story about the pins the recipients receive being flown, great little bit of history there. And I can't wait to see what Omega comes up with for the Apollo 11 50th anniversary, it's coming up fast. Thanks for producing such great vids!
Like always this was a great video!! This channel deserves way more recognition then it gets!! Thank you for always having great watches and always having great info to share!!

Some crazy watches. The vacheron is gorgeous.

It's as gorgeous as the narrator pronounces the brand. Seriously, Vacheron Constantin sounds much more elegant than almost any other brand.
@b3tro378

the vacheron is gorgeous yes, however Oozywolf as a swissman we do not pronounce it like the narrator does, well, it is more French sounding, however I do understand that it is elegant the way English people say those names.

This channel is just exceptional. The Snoopy story was really unexpected and something I had no idea about. I love history about the space race and about NASA and all the space programs so that was a real little gem for me. Thank you.
It's always a treat to watch your videos!
i love your videos.. thanks so much for making them.
I’m really enjoying these videos keep up the great work And humour. Love those talking hands at the end..
Excellent video. Your Vacheron is an amazing piece.
Beautiful stuff man!
Hi from New Zealand. Liking these videos. Well done.

On the topic of interesting Bell & Ross pieces, the Radar Red always struck me as a really unusual watch. I don’t think I could pull it off, but I do like how bizarre it is
I have always held that, each day you learn something new, it's a good day. Each time I watch your channel, I learn something new. In addition to this one, I also suscribe to a few other watch chanels and enjoy them all. Yours is the one that will often go that little further in depth or a side step into interesting, related information though. The other area where you are, head and shoulders, above the rest is the quality of the photography. It really is outstanding. In so many ways, you set the gold standard for a watch chanel. I hope I will be watching this for many years to come. Well done.
You make some of the best watch content on the Internet. Keep up the good work!
When his hands appear at the beginning, I always expect a cointrick to start happening.
Great story to the Omega watch. Thanks for sharing.
I really liked this video! Could you make one about the iwc portuguese sidérale scafusia? Thank you
didnt know about the snoopy story, great video!!
Just bought a Basculante, love it!
4:28 I said "why?" out loud exactly when you did...
Amazing video.
Actually, "Basculante" is Romanian (and plural) for dump trucks, as in the trucks with a hinged bed. So it does kinda make sense.
Your videos are top notch storytelling!!
good reviews, easy to listen, but also Pentax K1000 camera at the beginning of the presentation looks very, very nice :)
My favourite ones are Omega Speedmaster. I wish I could buy them in the future
Always a treat to watch these very classy
Would love to see some Blancpain on your channel for a touch up on the history of the brand, and of course you could always review at the classic fifty fathoms plenty of heritage there to talk about. Great video keep them coming!
Great video refreshing content
That construction worker joke was a classy touch
What’s the model ref for the Cartier Basculante? Cheers
great video
The story about the history of the speedmaster special edition is absolutely amazing!
Excellent presentation, really liked the story to the Snoopy Speedmaster. May I suggest another unusual watch, the Lemania Elvström Caliber 1345. It is a beautiful time piece which is offering a visual countdown to time the start of a sailing race while the bezel works together with markers on the dial and the compass readings on the boat to determine the favoured end of the starting line and shows the course to be expected to the next mark in an Olympic triangle course. Brilliant design utilising the knowledge of Danish sailing legend Paul Elvström.
can anyone tell which camera that is at the beginning of the video? Excuse my irrelevance
Just discovered this channel, have subscribed.

A most agreeable video. Bravo
how do they de-lint the denim for the dial? i guess that's part of the hardening process?
Can you suggest any good watch from the g shock
Can you please make a video on the Hublot mp-05 laferrari?
The Alaska Project is certainly bizarre. Even out of the shell, it had those beaker chrono hands and a very unique look - and an even more unique story.

Superb content! Feed for the enthusiasts. In the context of this video: what about reviewing a Ressence watch? I always found these to be very exciting and yet very special.

That Cartier Tank is sublime ... I remember being just a young teenager walking through the mall probably 15 years ago and seeing the Snoopy then. Boy oh boy, wish my dad would have bought it now ... lol

Really bugs me that the slots on the screws on the front of the bell and ross are just pointing randomly.
Didn't think it was possible for me to like the Big Bang any less, but then again I didn't know it came in a "Canadian Tuxedo" version. Bravo.

Hey, can you review the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side of the Moon - Meteorite? Would love to hear your opinion!
