@@mrjakobt Black tie is fine. But it should be a dress watch, as you may have a certain time you have to leave or do something at the event. White tie, or an event at someone's house is where you wouldn't wear a watch, as it would 'traditionally' be seen as rude if you needed to know what time it was.

@@indiefruit The issue is that a watch shouldn't be worn with double cuffs and cuff links because, if you had it under the sleeve, it would be useless because you'd never be able to see it and, if you had it out of the sleeve and pushing up against your hand, it would ruin the look of the outfit and make you look like a horrible show off who was trying to get everyone to look at your watch. There is no place for a watch if you're wearing double cuffs and therefore no place for a watch at a black tie event.

Loved that white and red strap on the last one, I actually got a recent Amphibia on a white Bostok "boot leather" strap and at first was going to change it but it grew on me, now to find meself a cheap Omega hehe Closest thing I have to one is the Eaglemoss NASA Speedmaster which incidentally is a cracking good chronograph but lacking even a working bezel it is sadly NOT a real one.
