22 GX460 Lux Sport Package.. The best vehicle i've driven and owned. It feels like what it is.. luxurious, smooth, powerful and rugged

I just purchased the 2023 recently and I already love it. My 5th Lexus vehicle.

Currently drive a 2019! Love it as a Hwy Cruiser and tows the boat fairly well!

I like the old dinosaur but the LX has my heart ❤️

I've got a 2010, fuckin love this thing, basically new and was taken well care of.

It's a gas guzzler but since it's built like a luxury tank worth it.

I know it has the swing door thing is say it's a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon

Considering it’s the last one without these garbage turbos connected to tiny, overworked engines, absolutely. They last forever, are indestructible. Only bad thing is the gas mileage.

@@MrChuckwagon55 i owned a Land Rover Disco 2002 about 15 yrs ago.. that truck drove like a tank too, almost same feel, but too many issues in just 2 years of ownership.. pneumatic struts broke.. engine gasket leaking.. fixed it and sold it right away.. The GX on the other hand, is proven to be almost unbreakable. Im on my 4th GX in 3 yrs..i keep trading them for newer/lower mileage

It’s going to be the GX or 4Runner for me. Can’t go wrong with either. The RX350 doesn’t have enough room for me in my opinion.

Front grill is too much for me but very good looking car thou

These things will be dirt cheap once GX550 comes out next spring...

Maybe its me but i dont find most cars i heard luxurious really luxurious when i go inside them

Yeah that's just Americans being weird. You guys call everything that's foreign and has some leather, a luxury car. Meanwhile in Europe we have Mercedes cars as cabs. BMWs as police cars. I seen a Lexus LS as a cab just a couple days ago. They aren't luxurious at all, they are just common good cars. I have also seen the equivalent of this Lexus GX, a Toyota Land Cruiser, as police cars on the beach here.

Not really 😕! To me a Toyota Land Cruser would be the smarter choice, it looks better both inside and out, and it's technology packages that are available are more up-to-date than the very dated 1990's technology used in this Lexus!

I own one and like it quite a bit but the side opening tail gate sucks. The newer version has a tail gate that open upwards which is much better.

Since RX went all 4 cylinder turbo and I wanted a V6 Rx so this is Lexus I want, but waiting for redesign.

The new GX has the same 3.5 V6 turbo engine which is the same one that the LX 600 and the Sequoia has.

The redesign is a twin turbo 4 cylinder engine which will be overworked and trashed by those turbos. Turbos shorten the life of everything

Hell yes I would get it. I got a 4Runner for 52,000 so 8,000 I would upgrade myself to this. Fuhhhh I should have done my HW. I’m thinking my wife can have the 4Runner and I’ll get this GX460.

Went to go lease one and they claimed the residual was $33k. Which is half and unheard of with a Lexus

I was over the top excited while shopping for a new vehicle when I saw one of these. LOVED everything UNTIL the dealer opened the swing door in the rear. Instant deal breaker. Lift gate only please. You’re better than that Lexus. Now I’m waiting for the new design to be available

it looks like the land cruiser from 15 years ago... except front ..but from side and back its the same

I see 5 bad things about the GX, the tail gate, the tail gate, the tail gate, the tail gate and last bit not least the tail gate

The main reason is the naturally aspirated V8, hands down!

You guys get the nice interior. The Prado interior is ass and looks 15 years older than this...but the Prado is a lot cheaper. Just under $39,000 for the highest spec 7 Seater ver.

It’s a nice looking car but features and interior are severely lacking for 100K. I don’t understand the type of customer who would buy this. Not someone looking for performance, not someone looking for a nice interior, I guess just someone who loves Lexus? Idk this car seems 30-40K overpriced to me. Should be around 60-70K. Maybe when the 24s come out they’ll warrant a six figure price tag.

This generation is basically a Toyota 4Runner. Never heard of it being referred to Land Cruiser.

The only real similarity between the GX and 4Runner is the assembly line ( Tahara factory, Japan ) The GX is labelled and sold as the Land Cruiser Prado ( or LC 150 series ) outside of US, and without a V8 (V6 and diesel options) The LX 570 (now sold as the LX 600) is the bigger LC (series 200 and 300 respectively)

The G wagon also has a barn door FYI

@@jnmc-vx4fw Strange, Toyota’s own Grand Hilander, The Subaru Ascent, Jeep Cherokee, Acura MDX, even the Ford Bronco deliver equal performances, build quality, durability, and true off-road capability for tens of thousands less. In fact, very rarely see a Lexus SUV on the road these days, and I see many of the above. About 95% of SUV’s never see off road duty anyway. The Lexus GX is an outstanding SUV, but for the price I doubt anyone would use it for serious off road duty.

A very confusing vehicle. It’s a capable Land Cruiser Prado, yet it has a low hanging front bumper, side skirts, low ground clearance and tiny highway tires. Not to mention how outdated it is for the price. The new GX 550 seems more promising at least.

There’s no comparison to Lexus naturally aspirated V8 to the new GX with forced induction (turbo) V6. Reliability wise, I chose the naturally aspirated GX V8 that will last forever ( built like a Tank)

The only vehicle in the MB line up that compares with the GX is the G•Wagon. Not in terms of HP, but purpose. Both, under all the creature confirms and appointments, are really SHTF tanks!

Why would anyone want to keep any car for 20 years when its almost 2024? In just 5 to 7 years this car will be a very costly and horrible investment.

I agree with it's durability reliability and dependability. However that front hourglass grill just looks way to ugly and hideous for my tastes. I much prefer the looks of the much better looking brother the Toyota Land Cruser. Sorry, but that ugly grill in the Lexus would be a deal breaker for me!
