I love this so much. I'm only 6'0 but have 2 chihuahuas. To people who say they're not "real dogs," would you say humans under 5'2 aren't real people?

When we rescued are Yorkie my six-foot-tall husband said I don't want this tiny dog in the house keep her away from me I don't want to accidentally hurt her. 10 minutes later I walk in the room she's on his chest and he's whispering who's Daddy's Little princess 😂😂

I get lots of big guys stopping to say hi to my pug. I think it shows confidence and kindness.

I'm 6'7" and 310lb and I have a little corgi. She wins all the doggie costume contests, she is a super star. :-)

My Dad and my husband, both very outwardly masculine "man's man" type guys have fallen for small dogs and now each of them has a Chihuahua. All it took was for them to meet a Chihuahua that needed a home and see how much personality they have and love to give. Now both of their lives revolve around their tiny dogs and it really warms my heart. I really wish there wasn't this silly sizeism towards small dogs, they are such wonderful creatures deserving of our love.

These men are real men that can see a big heart inside a tiny body and not being afraid of what cliché people think. I respect that 👏

As a 6'1" guy with a puppy just barely over a foot at the shoulder, that lady at the end is 100% correct.

Surprisingly, in Mexico, which is a very macho culture, men have no issues with having little dogs

It's mostley because they are free from the streets chihuahua is literally a state in mexico where the breed got it's name . They are street dogs

Too many people get dogs as an accessory. Something to make them look a certain way. These guys just met the dog and felt that connection and that's the best reason to adopt a furry friend ❤ They seem like most loving pet owners.

I’m a 6’2” tall and about 240 pounds asian and I like poodles. They are smart, don’t smell bad, don’t shed their fur and also don’t drool like crazy.

V Llly My family had two. Bobby was a middle size poodle. Very smart. And Spike was a toy poodle who loved to be carried like a baby (belly up). It was very funny to see their personalities.

I love tiny dog zoomies!! My Chihuahua has a pretty regular routine that we stick to and he gets a lot of time outside to run but still every single night around 11 he gets a crazy case of the zoomies. He grabs his stuffed Fox puts it in front of me and asks me to throw it across the apartment for him. Then he chases it and runs around like crazy carrying a way to big toy around like a prize. Small dog zoomies are great especially for apartment dwellers like me and they warm my heart. Big dog zoomies are great too of course!

One of the dogs in the video I belive came from a Texas Chihuahua Rescue. I adopted two Chihuahua's from the same Rescue. My father in law kids me that real dogs are working dogs. I retort back, my two Chi's are in fact working dogs, they keep mice away. Have yet to see a mouse. Don't think he is buying it. Rescue Chi's are great companions, they have a log to give. These rescued Chi's, who now have homes, are living their big dream.

Chihuahuas are the second most euthanized dogs after the pit bulls. Blessings to anyone who adopts these breeds ❤

All of these men and their dogs are charming!

This reminded me so much of my husband and our 2 chi’s. Especially when the 1 guy is putting the harness on his lil girl. Hubby struggles with that one all the time. I love the guy that says “ he needed a house and I gave him a fuckin’ house ok?” LOL! This was a very welcome refuge from day-to-day politics down here in the lower 50.

I'm a woman, and all I've known is medium & large sized dogs, I have yet to have a small dog. I plan on going for a chihuahua cuz they're so FREAKING cute!

Stereotypes. Men get a lot of sh*t for having little dogs because supposedly it means they're less masculine. Glad that's slowly fading. On another note, some women handle large dogs really well. Have you ever watched "Girl with the Dogs" KZread channel? She's a groomer that handles giant breeds!

When I was a kid we had a chihuahua that no one but my grandmother could pet, pick up or play with, what a fun pet he was .

This film is just great; I loved it! I had big dogs when I was young. They were running companions, hiking companions, and great buddies. Now, I'm old, and I have small dogs. When my last big dog was sick, I was carrying around an 90 pound dog to take her in and out and to the vet. Now, my little dogs are my walking companions, my gardening companions, my couch buddies. The same friendly companionship in a little package, and easy to carry. I've loved all my dogs, and I am grateful I had all my dogs in my life. These men have love and companionship and a good buddy. A dog is a dog is a dog. How wonderful for all concerned!

We just lost our 70 pound shepherd. We have a 70 pound lab mix who is 12, and a 6 pound chi who is almost 14. We are definitely downsizing. The chi was our last addition to the family and hadn't seen a vet in about 6 years before she was handed over to us.

im not that big a guy, only 5 ft 5, i have alot of tattoos, piercings and a mohawk, and a tattoo artist by trade, but i have a little 6 lb choxie and she is the light of my life 🙂 she is very much daddy's girl 🙂

I dead wife who left me with her chihuahua just pasted 4 weeks ago . I had to buy another chihuahua puppy. I cant imagine life without a chihuahua.

We think that's the mix my mom has. The jack is obvious but she was brought in with a female chi that was older than her and might have been her mama. Her parents went to a nursing home and family took both dogs to a pound. My mom fell in love with lady, and they've been together for a couple years now

I hate the Paris Hilton effect on these poor animals. Women carrying them around as accessoars completly destroying their bones and muscles. Chihuahuas are a strong breed. My rescue is a real alpha. He can jump half across my livingroom. He once slept on a pitbulls head throughout an entire night to show him who was the boss and I take him into hard terrain in the forest. We can walk for hours. He has muscles that makes even his vet impressed. Our neighbours dog can´t even walk for 30 minutes before collapsing. It´s a german shepard. His family never walks him, just let him stay in the yard. Breed don´t matter. How you treat them means everything. Chihuahuas are no more lapdogs than other breeds. Sorry for my bad english but it´s not my first language.

All Dog breeds are like Pokémon. They are all cool for me as someone who has gotten into dogs since my family got our Golden Retriever a year ago. I would say though that I most likely get a small dog if I had a girlfriend or was married and was planning or have kids than if I’m single. Still dogs like Boston Terriers, Cavaliers, and some poodle mixes are really cool and yes cute to me. I would still consider getting them if I was single especially something like a Boston. Has a cool look and is also cute especially in the puppy stage. Also small dogs argaubly could be easier than many big dog breeds. This is why you see Pitbulls in shelters or other big high energy dogs because people think big dogs are lazier or just want the status symbol like how girls seem to get small dogs for cuteness. Dogs can fit whatever personality you want, if they fit your personality and you fit their demands. Most importantly it’s the bond and connection that is most important with a dog like it is with your family, friends, who you love, girlfriend/boyfriend, Husband/Wife, kids, etc.

I’m not a tall man, but I am “lumberjackesque”. I get the weirdest looks when I walk my rat terrier alongside my english mastiff. People assume I’m looking after my girlfriends terrier.

The biggest strongest real dudes are comfortable with thier feminine side. Like all my uncle's are super strong from WW2 and many war heroes that are able to cry at sufferings and very sweet to animals. All sides if my family taught me super compassion and I l 🥰 adore my family for thier nurturing nature's. I don't understand all the evil coldness in world. It's needs not tolerated and be a voice for the least of these. Animals are most margaarnalized least of these. Animals are emotional support great souls that need our protection

I love someone to tell me my blue Chihuahua is not a real dog. It well make me mad and his german shepherd brother and sister . I'm 6'2" and 265 and the story about a little girl putting their feet on my foot . Is just what my little girl did she was going to be my x-wifes dog but she know how to pick and picked me. And was my PTSD dog.
