The 3300 is truly great for its price range. I still own one because it's good for deep relic hunting (benefit of the concentric coil). But after I got a Minelab Vanquish 540, I haven't gone back. The Multi-IQ the 540 uses eliminates the problem I had with the 3300; target ID blending. If you cough up a little extra and get yourself a Vanquish 540, spend the time to learn it, I think it'd blow your mind.

Amazon has the Tracker 4 for $79, compared to 3300 at $139. For a beginner which would you recommend? I just got stuck with a useless Sunpow OT-MD02, so I'm very wary. Thanks

Hello John- I’d do the tracker iv if you are new to the hobby. It won’t let you down and is super easy for new users.
