In my 4th grade, I'd a really awesome lady as my english teacher. I remember the day when she made us sing this song after writing the lyrics on the board. It was a free class, we sang it along her. We all were so cheery and innocent back then...only to not know that she'd leave the school the next year. I haven't known about her ever since then. No contacts, nothing. Don't know if she'll EVER see this comment, but if by any chance she does I want to say her, that thank you so much ma'am for making my 3rd and 4th grade years so memorable. I left my family, friends and my hometown and came to this new country when I was 15, I didn't speak the language then and struggled to make friends, find jobs and to survive in this foreign society. Whenever I'm feeling lost, the song can always take me back to my home and the simple and happy life I used to have. I still remember the day I left. The train slowly accelerating and my hometown station soon became miles away. Now here I am in this country, still trying so hard to achieve my dreams. This song is my nostalgic song, my stay strong song, and also a song to remind me of where i came from. It literally means the whole world to me

This song reminds me of my Father in the 80's, he used to play this song in our cassette player when I was 6 or 8 years old. God is so gracious when I ask our LORD if the end times is already at hand? Then this song just suddenly popped out in my mind today(10/23/18)after 40 years? Now I fully understand the meaning of the lyrics it talks about the coming "Rapture" when all of us believer of Christ will meet Him in the clouds.

When ever I listen to this song I remember my beloved father, he sang this song when he tooked me to zoological garden along with my sister and my brother , it maybe 30 years since then . I cried that day cause 🐘🐼zoo was closed and my father sang this song for me to stop crying. On the other hand I remember a lots my beloved darling who live in Burma ( Myanmar) . I am still in high school and only remembered bits and pieces of this song till yesterday. I remember sitting in the western music period in the basement of our school in 2nd maybe 3rd grade singing this song. I know im still not very old but this song brings back so many memories of me when i was a small child. This song is a very big part of my childhood. I listened to it soo much and my friends and i sang it in elemantry school a lot. It makes me remember our teacher who taught us music and get all nostalgic. Every second and every tune of this song brings flashes and images. I just love it so much.

It's always reminded me of my grandpa. He was a brakeman for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and the train passed by their house. He died when I was 5, and I knew he was more than 500 miles away. My grandparents had petitioned Washington, for train whistles to blow at intersections after my uncle was killed by a derailed train, that had struck a truck at an intersection. This song has held a place in my heart, from the first time I heard it.

My dad’s grandfather. My great grandpa was a S.P. engineer. I never knew him but that’s what he did after leaving the US Navy after World War 2. Joined the railroad in 1947 and retired in the 1980s

Why 1960s, 70s, 80s songs are always re-sing? I think because those era songs & music are the best. My 8 years old son play his keyboard & I play guitar to this song every weekends at home. The 60s, 70s and 80s were about the song, the music. Not always about profit, not about 'target audiences'. Songs made it because they were good, not because people were brainwashed into buying' it' because the radio played nothing but 'it' or as now, the net pugs' it' constantly. I have never liked Timberlake... but this is actually quite good and he has learned to act pretty good as well. A grumpy oldie even grumpier now!!

When I studied in VMS in nursery 1 i didnot have any friends and i was very lonely so oneday when i was in home my big sister came and sang me this song and i liked it from then on i sang this song in my mind in nursery 1 and i felt very happy..😃😌 still it was lonely but I never felt dissapointed.

I used to go to learn guitar during my age 8 to 15 and my teacher taught me this song. I don't know why i get emotional every time I listen to it. I get really nostalgic thinking of those care-free days. Now its quiet hard to find time to play guitar. And i don't even know why everyone gets so emotional listening it. Its just a Miracle ..!! Old days flashing in my eyes as the tears drop down ..!! Wanna grow up again if possible and get all the love again ..!!

The Bollywood make another song on this music Jab koi baat bigad jaye both are masterpiece. Simply love them..!!

My father would play guitar and sing this with my sister and i when we were very small. When my father was dying my sister and i sung this to him. Now my sister just died on Sunday and i sung this to her as they tried to revive her, and i pray she heard me. I never knew Justin did this, and im not a fan, but i am thankful to him for doing this, and i really like this version. A friend will sing this at her memorial next week. I cant bear the pain. I love you my sister.

This is the first English song I was taught in then Wood's college in Sydney 1970, by mr Wood. I love this song and I still able to sing it beautifully.

My 6th grade english teacher played this on class and now im 9th grade. I'm still in love a revisit every so often

Anyone feeling emotional listening to this song in 2020?

This is actually one of the songs that our singing teacher taught us in school, when i was in grade 1 and we sang it till grade 5, :) and at those moments I didn't like this song, for I feared leaving my parents even for the sake of a song! And today, I am nostalgic about this school rhyme. I am really missing those beautiful days. Anyways thank you for uploading!
